Thats a serious business, why the maxis center still have the stock but don't want sell to the iphone

I dont think is MC problem, is staffs problem...
Maybe the staff want to reverse for his/her friends or families...

could this be maxis or apple business plan?

instate of sell selling all the stock at day 1 and wait for weeks or months for new stock to arrive, might as well plan by stock quantity and when is the next shipment and calcutate how many to sell each day.

If what I've mention is right then it might not be the staff issue. maybe they are not sure how the plan run or they lost count of the day quota to sell.

From the experience at Maxis Center yesterday (got my iphone 4 only at 3.30pm - arrived at 9.15am and got 19 from the queue), they were basically struggling to cope. However, they were serving not only the walk-in (20 only on Sunday), they were also serving those who had pre-booked their iphone. According to the personnel who served me, these were the people who pre-booked during the launch.

I've finally managed to get 1 unit of 16gb for myself and another unit of 32gb for my fiancee from KLCC MC on last saturday.

This is my personal experience on getting iphone without waiting long. On last friday, I went to MC after work, and queued up at the Iphone counter. It only had 2 people ahead of me. At that time, I'd already expect that no stock is available, and this was exactly what I overheard when the staff told that 2 ppl ahead of me. So, when it was my turn, same story went for me. Then I asked the staff if I could pre-book the phones and collect it on the next day morning, and I was holding the Iphone checklist with me. Once she saw the checklist on my hand, she said OK! She then helped me filling out the form and verifying my existing contract details. Once verified, she told me to come on the next day morning, and went for her directly or get a queue ticket to collect the phones directly.

On the next day morning, as what I've been told, I reached there at 9am then got a queue ticket with just 1 person ahead of me. Everything was so smooth and fast, I got my phones within 1/2 hour then walked out from MC after that.

When I reached there, the queue in Iphone counter was like more than 40 ppl, and all I heard was "out of stock, and please come back the next day morning". When I was collecting the phone, I overheard a guy next to my counter, he actually arrived MC at 4am, and during that time, there was already 2 ppl queuing up ahead of him. OMG!! this was unbelievable.

Luckily, with my way, I wasted no more than 1 hour within 2 days to get 2 units of iphones. Perhaps, anyone who intends to buy can follow my way. I hope this info is beneficial to everyone here.

Hey peeps just came back from Gardens MC . They not entertaining walk in customer. I came and waited from 8 am and was the first there ... Can you imagine my reaction when they said that. They also said stock coming in the afternoon. So we managed to get them to commit to giving us those units ... As usual 16gb very limited.. The rep took down our details and told us to wait for a call followed by a SMS at 12pm... Basically it was freaking jam in the morning so I guess the supplies are late... Hopefully all goes well...

Yeah man, IMO they should tell customer the truth instead of " oh iphone out of stock alrdy,come back in 2 weeks/next month time"
that is so bullsh*t i think,when u see other people getting their Iphones without any hassle.

@*billie*: I agreed with you, and that's what the staff told the guys in front of me. But when it was my turn, I told the staff that I wanted to prebook and collect it on the next day morning.

@athlonmax: The checklist is needed when collecting the Iphones. Normally, it's the details of the package you are taking and the phone model. The staff told me to have 2 IC photocopies before collecting the phones on the next day. This eventually speeds up the whole process.

The thing about prebook,almost all MC i went,they said no more prebook.A bit confused on this matter,some say can,some say cannot.

Yup, apparently this tricks works for me. Because the previous didn't have the checklist with them, they just queued up then as usual asking them "still have stocks?", then a pretty straight forward answer "sorry, out of stock, please come back again". Somehow the checklist I had is the last copy I got from the empty counter, no other copies was available. So, I just grabbed it and queued up in another line.

No only confusing, but also frustrating.
You didn't get it wrong. They have double standards, tripple's... or no standard. HAHA!
