i got a Q's on rooting our phone...usually u guys root and flash custom rom rite...???does it make sense if i were just to root my phone and use the original rom just to gain the accesibility to tweak my phone...???thanx in advance...

Yes we root and install custom rom cuz of tweaks, deodexed and some other features the dev offered.

and yes you can root and use the stock rom, but you wont be able to flash custom icons on notification bars and such cuz the stock rom are odexed. but you can access paid markets, make a nandroid backup and others that a non-rooted phone could do. Tweaks? you mean? in terms of customization, you're limited. in term of perfomance, i'm not sure cuz you need to flash kernels and stuffs, i dont know...mostly people just flash an undervolted custom rom made by devs edy.

uhmm.. I rooted with AmonRa recovery, succeeded in one try, it was smooth sailing for me, but then my HBOOT was 0.83
use 960X800 resolution for the image you want to set as your wallpaper, then when applying just "crop" the whole image

just got it yesterday (9th sept 2010). so far no problem. noticeable speed increase when loading files (pictures, videos, etc) if compared to stock MicroSD (class 2 btw). n u r rite, it's cheap. there's also an 8GB version but seemed to be out of stock.

what widget is you guys using for toggling between 3G and GSM only?  I just switch to Digi SmartPlan and now find a toggling widget to toggle the data connection on and off like toggling Wi-Fi.  I am using SwitchPro 1.9.2 but the toggling dun work.
