Hi,

Does anyone know how much for the back cover of HTC Desire? I found my camera lens coated was fall, but i don't think it's a scratch.

Is that cover by warranty? Please advise.
*

There is a thin film of coating on your lens cover. If you scratched it deep enough it will start to peel off.
*
Oh crap..I got stick a protector on my lens cover..Scared if I peel off the protector the coat also come out ohmy.gif

Guys, I would like to know whether Google Voice Actions is working with Desire. Does it require internet connection to work?
*
Yea need internet.

I dont think by peeling off the protector the coating will come off too. So i guess its pretty safe. smile.gif
*
Hopefully. sweat.gif I remember few months back some bro from lyn used toothpaste to rub off the purple coating. His pics became damn clear after that but don't know what are the side effects. doh.gif

The coating is just to prevent scratches to the lens, i also removed the coating using toothpaste. Pics are more clearer now.
*
The coating is suppose to help with outdoor pics. Not prevent scratches. lol.

Simple answer - No

You can move apps to sd without root provided the developer allowed it.

No. The phone was left idle in the box in the drawer. Nobody touched it at all. Is there something wrong with the battery?
*
I guess it's normal. You have to let the battery go through a few cycles for it to calibrate I guess. You can try to google for the calibration method. It helps.

question - i bought a 3rd party nokia usb cable to charge my desire and it wont charge the battery even up to 50% at all. is there something wrong with my battery or we must use specific HTC usb cable to charge properly ?
*
Shouldn't matter what brand of USB cable. You probably bought a faulty cable. Does it detect the usb cable when you plug in?

Is anyone having these problems?

1. Continuous restart as in like restarting 15 times in 5 minutes without touching anything?
2. I just updated the software and now installing it. It is now at the T-Mobile logo at start-up?

Please help and do you think I just need to send it to the service centre?

Thanks.
*
1) Uh...no? Restart like how? Care to explain? Is it finish booting then restart or when booting that time restart??
2)T-mobile? Update to FroYo you mean? Your Desire is branded set? Stuck at the boot up screen?

1. I'm not sure whether it's normal but when you are doing something (just fiddling around with the phone changing settings, it just reboot itself not even switching on the phone. So, fine. Then, it keeps rebooting non-stop for 6-10 times non stop (sometimes just before the HTC logo comes out). So, I fear it might spoil the phone if it keeps rebooting non stop.
2. Ya, I am now stuck at the boot up screen for the past 2 1/2 hours. I think it's a bit long for an update of software! sad.gif

Any suggestions?
*
Probably boot loop. Have to tried to off and on your hp?

Coz I'm planning to buy desire and subscribe for data plan if it's worth it?
any1 to give opinion on whether to use Desire with a data plan?
also, can Desire being used a broadband modem to connect to the internet with my pc if I subscribe a data plan? Coz I'm thinking of canceling my digi broadband to save cost after got data plan but prefer online with office desktop.
*
Worth it yo! But now can't get the phone together with plan already. Must buy from outside shop then subscribe to maxis data plan separately.
