hey guys, newbie here =D. im thinking to buy a HTC desire but i heard my friend said that the phone will get a bit overheat?

anyone successfully use HTC Sync with AuraX Rom?

i need to sync contacts and calendars in the Outlook with Desire ...

U're friend lied to u, is ur friend own a desire? If not why u believe that fact ? It can be overheat if u're to much overclock the cpu or u flash it with non compatible rom. With stock standrd, no way it can be overheated.


. Im using auraxt 8.0 with richardtrip kernel. Ive never sync outlook contact, and no prob sync outlook calendar using htc sync

you do not need this because there is another more easy way.
download google calendar sync install on your computer that you using outlook.
both your computer and phone sign in the same gmail account. after sync, you're done.
beside calendar, gmail account also can keep phone contact.
cloud rule.

Hi guys,

Anyone using J-Style MIUI 11.05 can tell me if the contacts saved in the phone is a Phone contact / FB contact / Mail contact? I noticed it does not allow us to save first name or last name. Just one field for the name category.

I also noticed this does not work with HTC Sync. If anyone got it to work, please share your experience.

Yup this is the best option, realtime calendar update directly to ur phone

thanks - i am okay with the calendar sync realtime with Google ... but Google does not sync with Outlook contacts .... desperately need to get the Outlook contacts on the desire ... now on AuraX rom. ideas?

it will heat up rather quickly but it wont burn your hand =)
unless ur playing 3D game with charging battery ba ....
den it will really turn up the heat
but not till overheat =)

it won't overheat thats for sure - for any phone when GPRS is activated, it will feel slightly warmer, thats all.

Yes, MIUI doesnt work with HTC Sync because it is an AOSP rom~~ More modification than others AOSP rom...
not related to htc or any other rom...thats why htc sync doesnt support...
it is not possible to get it work...

I am on AuraxTSense 8.0... and i having the 2G/3G signal fluctuating problem too.. i have disabled the AuraCPU as stated..but its still the same. I am using 32.48 radio and RichardTrip kernel BTW. Everytime after i reboot, the signal will change to HSDPA, but after a while it will turn back to GPRS...any solutions?

same with me after flashing aurtxsense 8 and new radio. but after disable auracpu, my 3g signal back to normal

Also notice the SMS interface looks good, I can finally discard Handcent SMS.
But when I received a sms from a number which I have not saved. Later, I saved it as name "XYZ" but it is not smart enough to appear in the SMS. Still appearing as numbers..

i wont say overheat but it gets warm...i used profile in setcpu to downclock my phone when it reaches certain temperature...


that's why i dont want to tinker with the kernel...satisfied with the current state already...later kacau,me myself will get faktap....

about the gps,are you outside or in the room?i've never faced any problem detecting my gps...at most is around 30seconds...

came across sd card partitioning from a frien, however what's d purpose and how can i accomplish that?

is cyanogenmod a good custom rom? seems like many people using aurax.. mivi... supervillain.. lee droid.. confused...

if u partitioned ur card into ext2 or ext3, to enable app to sd feature which applied mostly on root & custom roms....so u can install tons of applications & games into ur desire while without affecting ur device memory low.....

cyanogen 1 of the best custom rom developers.....he create great roms....back then when i'm on G1...cyanogen does brilliant roms & keep update fast....bcoz cyanogen prefered AOSP based rom....unlike sense based...
majority find it preferable sense based roms due to htc sense widget useful.....its depends ur liking...hope that clear ur views
