Q: How will my friends list and rankings be handled?
A: All account-specific data, including friends lists, rankings, achievements, statistics, titles, and unlockable rewards, will be tracked separately for each region's Battle.net servers, and will not carry over between them. WTF is this? |

so basically they are letting us to have 2 accounts. That got me thinking: Can i give my US account to my friend then while i keep playing on SEA?
Anyway i wont have time to replay single player to unlock those achievements all over again so probably will only play on NA for custom games or join tourney only. See hows the connection first. This post has been edited by fizyboy: Sep 20 2010, 07:31 PM |

well it matters abit for new players who havent got their copy because you can buy NA region for U$60 (RM186), compare to RM215 from garage sale or RM248 from local game store.

Aren't you guys concerned at all about the possibility of us having above average latencies in the NA servers? Or has this issue been addressed in the pass?
Personally I would move to NA too based on the asumption that NA players are simply better than SEA player, of course, I might be wrong. There's also a huge possibility of SEA being underpopulated due to a mass migration That wouldn't be really nice |

There's also a huge possibility of SEA being underpopulated due to a mass migration That wouldn't be really nice also yes, NA players would generally be better for various reasons. one of them being that since they have vastly MORE players, chances of getting more good players would indefinitely be higher. Since we're in the topic of disconnections, is it just me or does the SEA server have very shitty stability? 10% of my ladder losses are caused by random disconnections from battlenet, or maybe it's the fact that I'm using wireless =O

Wireless is not very reliable. Even in my home just simply pinging www.tm.net.my , for wired my ping is consistently 18-21ms. Then once I change to wireless N, the ping fluctuates from 25-90ms. Not noticable for web surfing, but less reliable for online gaming. Sometimes it would lag for no appratent reason, only solution is to reset the whole wireless part of the router, then it'll back to normal.

just want to pitch in my experience..
I'm using wireless network for my gaming PC right now.. my connection is quite good so far, no lagging or jerkiness that is noticeable.. however.. this is after I changed my wireless network card to external USB wifi device and it even have an external antenna connected to it.. my previous wifi device gave me all sorts of connection problems so the moral of the story is.. if u are using wifi, try to get the High Gain wireless device that have 6inch antenna attached to it.. now I can even get near full bar reception from my neighbor's house |

QUOTE(evofantasy @ Sep 22 2010, 01:22 PM) well depends on the routing rather than the location in terms of spikiness... so you're saying im ALWAYS routed (regardless of IP range, all 4 of them that i can connect to) to shit connecting to singapore while they give me win route to USA? good logic lol.if u get routed to heavily congested path then its still gg ps: i gonna suicide my way to bronze in US and roll nubs lol Added on September 22, 2010, 3:25 pm QUOTE(Exiled_Gundam @ Sep 22 2010, 03:05 PM) Then plat/diamond SEA players can go rage also when suddenly they lost to bronze NA players in placement match SEA to NA, however not vice versaThis post has been edited by Quazacolt: Sep 22 2010, 03:25 PM |

IP used are 60.48/60.49/60.50/118. ranges (utter shit IP) that cant be right at all when someone in malaysia is getting more stable (not "necessarily" better, as i said, latency delays in NA is heavier than SEA) connection connecting to USA while having an unstable one connecting to Singapore. again, latency is lowered due to closer distance, however id rather take the added latency to USA if im getting a guaranteed smooth connection for the entire session. |

I'm in the same shoes as you.nvr happen on my 1v1 ladders (i only had 35 games on it anyways lol) but happen on my 3s and 4s at times... other than that? its smooth... so jz minor dc moments for me, no jerking etc... in the end depends on the ip... i always sc2 wit 124 ip over 115... 115 is spiky... Same starting ip address as well. Have tested with both and it does seem that the 124 ip gives us the best route to the singapore IAH server. 115 can be really bad until even after logging in, nothing is showing up. I'm pretty sad that those ip ranges was initially available for my area in desa petaling, which helps when you play WoW. Ever since it got changed to 115.135 and 124.18, I had to always use tunnels to play WoW, though I have already quit that game now. Just not sure why your ip range is terrible for Singapore. Probably routed you all the way to Taiwan and then back to Singapore. Try a tracert to sea.battle.net and see what ip addresses you route to. IP used to make a hella difference for me last time, now every IP is the same, I can get both 118.xxx and 60.48.xx but it's the same, everyday during 10~12PM (which is my prime time) it just starts to lag... zzzzz

tested playing on both servers.
Theres a small but noticable delay when playing in US. Its ok if you're slow at micro but when your APM is higher( 100-ish) it gets annoying. No delay when playing in SEA. response is almost instant. So, laddering is still better in SEA. |

And the entire point of ladder is (in theory anyway) that you'll get to play the game with people roughly around your skill level. So if your skill level is gold, but you kiasu want to stay in diamond for bragging rights, and end up ... NOT PLAYING the game ... wadafark?? |

And the entire point of ladder is (in theory anyway) that you'll get to play the game with people roughly around your skill level. exactly bro. That was what I'm trying to say..So if your skill level is gold, but you kiasu want to stay in diamond for bragging rights, and end up ... NOT PLAYING the game ... wadafark?? They stop playing the game (1v1) around 40-50 matches. This post has been edited by hazairi: Sep 26 2010, 01:09 AM |

QUOTE(hazairi @ Sep 25 2010, 05:18 PM) Exactly. That's why I can see many LYN Diamond/Platinum players, they scared to play more than 50 games. lol that's not the point in my case...They won 10+ or 20+ and they stop playing 1v1. Definitely worried to get relegated LOL. 1v1 is stressful and when u are working, u dun wanna add more stress... besides when u have tonnes of frens keep bugging u for 2v2 3v3 4v4 when u are on9 (or not) u wont have time for 1v1 anymore LOL... haven 1v1 in 3 months... |

The thing is if you want proper training of 1v1, it's better you to hook up with someone and do it in custom game instead of constant league games where you always expect the similar BO which are labeled as safe builds when your opponent faces you for the first time.
