im still standing by the fact that anything under 50-100 games the system may not correctly assess you for proper demotion/promotion. so if you really want to know where you belong, at least play out 50 games. if you're still diamond by then, then you're diamond

If that's the case then I would assume there is still a possibility of getting demoted back to Platinum is you lose too much in Diamond?

I don't understand this mentality at all. The entire point of buying the game is to ... dun dun ... PLAY the game. And the entire point of ladder is (in theory anyway) that you'll get to play the game with people roughly around your skill level.

So if your skill level is gold, but you kiasu want to stay in diamond for bragging rights, and end up ... NOT PLAYING the game ... wadafark??
