Maybe its too close, you either need macro mode or manual mode, focus and shoot.

Need help

This is the setting:

QUOTE
F16
Shutter put to "A"

ISO put 200
ISO Auto control "ON"
Max Sexsitivity 3200
Min Shutter Speed 1/100

I wanna ask,

Why my picture come out Overexpose with Shutter 1/4, F16 and with 3200 ISO?

Isn't it set to have Min Shutter speed of 1/100? Why 1/4?

Is it due to i put Shuuter to A?

But if i dont put on A, i put let say 1/60, it will shoot at 1/60, F16 and 3200 iSO, same question,

I thought Min shutter speed 1/100?

What condition only the min shutter speed will apply?

At least tell me is it intended and same with your x100 or its my cam problem.

Initially i thought the sticky problem, but when i look at it, it doesn't seems that way.

Is there any protective UV filter for X100?
*
Can buy normal UV filter, to fit on the filter, need to buy the adaptor, which usually come with the hood.

Read really interesting things about this camera.

As an ex DSLR user who always wished that I could get good image quality that was less subtle and more compact that wouldn't leave you aching after a whole day of shooting, I was rather interested in this. FlickR x100 pictures are amazing but I have no idea how the AF works on a retro camera like this.

How does it work exactly? I'm guessing that it isn't as simple as half press focus. Is it very manual focus based?
*
hmm, with the latest firmware, auto focus seems to be nail on and fast enough for normal shoot (dont expect sport and fast moving), day time fast and crisp, night slow a bit. Overall fast and good. But dont aspect dslr focus speed.

Manual focus seems to be easy too. No need to use the focus ring, just press the focus lock button and it will focus on its own, to me, its like semi auto.

And ya, this camera really good to use for zone focusing.

Really nice shots.

Though I wish I could see some samples in higher resolution.

I bought an iPad 3 so I could put my pictures on it to syiok sendiri. I wonder whether 12MP's is enough. Seeing that I'm coming from a 24MP sensor lol.
Is external flash a viable option? anyone using it?
*
12mp is good enough for your IPAD.

Just use your ipad and browse flickr for x100, plenty of photo available.

Ya tried manual flash before. looks cool but since its without TTL, so need to adjust alot.

Imo, the on camera flash is pretty good and diffuse. The only issue with the on camera flash is the batt life.

Ah super interested to get it now doh.gif

Was actually planning to get a mid ranged body with good primes and learn how to strobe but realized that I just don't have alot of time to use my DSLR alot if I get one. Too intimidating to bring to college to get good street/candids shots.

How long is the normal warranty offered by fuji? Are there any addons (such as filter and lens hood) that are necessary?
*
if want to put filter, need to get the adaptor, since adaptor usually come with the hood, may as well use the hood, what i learn is to keep the cap and use the hood only. The hood may block some light when using on camera flash, but other than that, i suggest to use the hood, at least it protect your lens.

Adaptor and hood wise, not neccesary need to buy ori Fuji, there's third party adaptor + hood out there, im using one of them and my only complaint so far is the hood a little bit lose.

Yup, this camera good to have and can be carry around all the time.

Warranty 1 year if i recall correctly.

Gonna get one as soon as I sell off my current gear for 3.2k. Low compared to RRP, fishy?

Btw, can you manually choose your ISO settings?
*
i assume 3.2 is new right? good price bro.

The monochrome function may be good, but i greatly advise to shoot in color then convert b&w in pp if needed. More versatile this way.
