I've been using the x100 for a week now and the blades doesn't feel sticky to me even when I stop down to f 16. I've used the burst mode for a bit and I don't have a problem with the aperture blades, but the saving time is ridiculously slow though. I 'upgraded' from the x10 which saves the pictures really fast and I'm already using Sandisk Ultra.
But you know, with all the manual control directly accessible without having to go into any menus. I don't use burst anymore, I don't even use bracketing. It's all manual now. Set the aperture, set the shutter speed, look at the EV meter snap, move on.
Sticky aperture blades affected the earlier X100's where the blades would stick and not close properly causing overexposure at smaller apertures. Doesn't have anything to do with burst mode. But you know, with all the manual control directly accessible without having to go into any menus. I don't use burst anymore, I don't even use bracketing. As for the saving times. The SD cards should be formatted in camera and the slider should be locked before inserting it into any card reader as anything written on the cards will slow down the read times. But for some reason even with the SD cards locked, sticking it into a Mac causes the cards to slow down as well requiring it to be reformatted again. Also, using the fastest cards possible helps also.
Hope this helps.
