WBA played with all hearts in when they go attack. one of the dangerous promoted team besides Blackpool.

well if the goals are from their decent attack then still ok...now its our own defense (gk) mistake.... mad.gif

to be honest i dont think these should be an excuse anymore. if we were to win the title, we are expected to beat teams like Chelsea, Arsenal etc, to show supremacy over them and thus deserving the title. There is no point drawing/losing other teams and then comfort ourselves by saying they are on an unbeaten run, they are strong squad, we lose to them last season so a draw now is an improvement etc. Those excuse may be right, but as a title contender we are expected to beat the majority of them despite them being strong. no personal attack against you, but i believe rather than thinking our opponents are as good as us, we should start thinking that we are performing below par and should improve.

Maybe we are a bit unfortunate at the moment, with the unlucky pinball goal and a rare VDS error, but i am saying as an overall to the whole season so far. Need to get back on track ASAP, we won titles before on a strong defensive record and it's such an extreme different right now!  doh.gif

we won titles based on either strong defense or strong attacking....i say we lack both currently....

great, THIS IS JUST GREAT

waited for 2 weeks just to watch another heartbreak match....

no more excuse, there is definitely something wrong with either the player or the tactics....please sort it out, the opportunity for us to win the title had just closed even further, and don't wait for it to shut completely then regret.... sad.gif sad.gif

lol this is just amazing. we are
1) draw king
2) lead-and-then-lost-lead king
3) unbeaten king

i didn't watch the whole match, family was watching Singapore v Selangor on tv.

but to draw, at home, against an in-form WBA, it's a mixed feeling situation.

1) to draw at home, and lost a two goal lead in the space of 5 minutes - ARGH WTF
2) to draw against an in-form WBA - hmm okay I guess
*
its not okay at all....at 2-0, no, even 1-0 we didn't pushed to kill the game...that's what i noticed with the team's game lately...Chelsea at least they still go on for goal number 3, 4,and so on...

us? we like sit back and let opponent attack us....not really a problem if our defense is rock solid, but it ISN'T the case....few games in a row conceding consecutive goals had affected the defenders' psychology, plus the pressure from opponent, mistakes bound to happen....

sorry to say, we are etching precariously towards Pool's road <-- clueless plays on the field....

never felt so frustrated before....hopefully we will win soon.....

if the player like to draw so much, just give them drawing boards...not draw on the field

well time to put all the frustration in beating burssaspor full force and the avoid the europe blues for the stoke game.

not just Bursaspor...is every match starting from Bursaspor...

3 goals per game, minimum....since we will concede 2 any ways....

thats a fun to put it laugh.gif

we still managed a 1-0 tho biggrin.gif but putting the chances no matterlah who ever gets that chance comes first.
*
now we has the defense comparable to the treble year, but lack the fire power to compensate for the concedes...sigh

its being years since i saw United play like this....the squad lack the domination aura, no team will fear us now...unless the player rediscover their "mojo"....

my take on is a bit diffrent, i think its good that teams dont fear us.they should come at us full force, that way the lads wont be complacent and knows they have to fight tooth and nail for bloody every thing.thats how our was built, nothing came easy.bak kata"success x dtg melayang, goals x datang bergolek"\

wba really played well today.and if they can do more of the same like this against other top 4 im sure they can shave off pts from them. rclxms.gif
*
its good only if our own player is capable to deal with it....if they can't, might as well press the opponent upfront from the start until the end...we tend to enter "panic" mode when we are in this situation this season...dunno why...and the worse thing is, luck is not favoring us so far

now that up the gaffer to make sure our lads are ready and dont take anything for granted.so far this season, i think the only times we looked very complacent is at everton and fulham.other then those i think we did justice to ourselves and deserved the outcomes we had.
*
and i thought the international break will give them the time they need...apparently not sad.gif

those matches(fulham, everton) affect their mindset(omg opponent is coming what am i gonna do???)...that's why we still see these type of results...

QUOTE(mhyug @ Oct 17 2010, 12:48 AM)
actually the 2 week break did seem good in the 1st half.the fitness level was top class and they have accustomed to the rigours of the new season.

i think if i were to hope or bank on something it still would be rooney.tho we lost valencia(whom i think would have exploded and supplied rooney with all the crisp pass, crosses he needs) rooney still the man for me to turn things around.a blind faith it maybe but rooney is hard to rule out biggrin.gif
*
Valencia's injury is a major lost to the team....our formation had been skewed since Nani is deployed on the right wing, and thus our left wing is empty can't count on Giggs week in week out anymore; SAF seems not favoring Obertan at all; Park is still off form...and that's it, others like Anderson, Rooney isn't natural left wings

not to mention Evra is still "haunted" by the WC incident? or what happens to him actually?

My bad!  biggrin.gif

With Giggs out (which I think will be for longer period since its a reoccurence), we are pretty much down to bare bones for wingers  sweat.gif
*
as someone suggested above, maybe move Rooney to the left flank like few seasons ago?
let him play support first...goal scoring+playmaking is a bit too much for him now....he was clearly bugged by something lately (which affected his play)

why rooney on left flank? we got obotak!!! tapi x gune...sial

i based the assumption that SAF dun use Obertan for some reason, so if he decided to deploy him, then its ok i guess

QUOTE(mhyug @ Oct 17 2010, 02:47 PM)
actually we did push, and didnt rest on it, but what we didnt do was actually score them.how many chances went begging in the 1st half wch should have handed us a comfortable win.im not sure why some of our fans are blaming ando, or vds for that matter.my opinion is the team should get the blame bcoz we didnt kill them off when we should have.

as for rooney on the flanks, i say its not particularly good idea.why sacrifice him yet again when he can be deadly up top.back then he was pushed there and it worked since ronaldo was blazing trough the front, but now even with chicha who has speed it has lesser chance of working.

he might be off form now but let him up top and he will bring home the goals.his touches are still good and his vision for goal and seeking out that options for goal is still apparent.
*
what i mean is, give him 1 task at a time, either all out feed him to score, or he makes the passes....since his mind is bugged by something else, might as well don't let him "multitask" first....let him either score few goals; or assists....bring his confident back, then let him do whatever he wants

dunno what had changed him...first he screwed with his own life, then he screwed with the club and the manager who had stood firmly to protect him when the whole world is against him....a sad day indeed for the gaffer, the club, and the fans....

its sad to see him leave, but club>player, so good luck out there, and thanks for all the contributions all these years...

if he chose to run away to avoid the media, then i'd say he'd made a huge mistake....United (especially SAF) never fails to defend its stars from the media....from Beckham to Ronaldo

it must be very heart shattering for the gaffer to make that announcement....like a father who do everything to protect his child, only to discover that he didn't appreciate it at all...sad.gif

I actually feel really sorry for Sir Alex right now. He must've treated Rooney like his own son and now he's getting betrayed like this.
*
if say he's still young, not really, he's already a dad for god sake doh.gif
i just wanna ask him, if one day, his son do the similar thing to him, what will he feel?

better get him off if he's really want out...we don't want our youngsters to be "infected"....

i was expecting this actually. From the way Rooney made his comment on his injury i already knew he made up his mind to search for a new club. the pressure of media really got the better of him. I'm pretty sure rooney now trying to run away from England in order to escape the media attention.
one word....immaturity. we all thought he grew up from being a hot temper brat into the most mature footballer ever but when the pressure took its toll, he's back to his old self only this time instead of proving himself on the pitch, he opted for an exit from Manchester United. SAF still have time to persuade Rooney to stay and sign a new contract or tried his hardest to get the optimum offer from other clubs for rooney next summer.

Critics on his performance during previous World Cup + pressure on his personal life by the media + his breaking relationship with wife surely the major contribution to his decision.
*
too bad then, he's got the talent, and now, he's edging closer to Gascoigne than Giggs...

even if SAF persuades him to stay, he won't commit 100% like last time...and considering SAF's temper and ego...he will let Rooney go...he won't let 1 player become the exception to his principle all these years
