neither team got a shot on target...poor match so far...even poorer considering our midfield is clueless about what they are doing its time to wake up lads...

VDS: made a couple decisive interception, but he also missed a cross, luckily Soldado didn't scored
Rafael: improved play, especially defensively, but physical disadvantage saw him struggle on several occation Ferdinand: showed the team what it had missed, organized the back well Vidic: solid as usual Evra: still not that efficient on the attack, and was having trouble dealing with Valencia's right wing Carrick: missed pass here and there, but managed to play full match is a good sign Fletcher: shaky start, but improved in the second half Park: still not in form, heavy first touches, and poor on the decision to distribute the ball Nani: almost invisible in the first half, however managed to make several good runs in the second half and started the winning goal's momentum Anderson: a little disconnected from the team resulted in inaccurate passing, more games will help Berbatov: really need a striker partner, can't do much up front alone (although the dribble that lead to 1 on 1 was good) sub: Chicharito: scored the winning goal, and hit the post once, nuff said Macheda: just barely came on the pitch, and bam another golden touch from him O'Shea: tool for delaying time |

QUOTE(ayanami_tard @ Sep 30 2010, 04:26 PM) my comment from ManUtd vs Val match we played at away, and against an in-form-top-of-the-table Valencia, so i guess SAF went a defensive route, and sub on both fast-paced Chicharito and Macheda when opponent got tired at the second half of second half1- i question the reason why SAF deployed Berbatov as lone striker in the first place 2- Both Carrick and Rio is back for duty,if Hargreaves is in i'm happier(anderson?meh) 3- there's nothing much to say in the first half, but our defence improved significantly with the reintroduction of Rio 4- Carrick still not in his form, but i see he improved greatly in the 2nd half(it's like riding a bicycle after like 1 year not doing so) 5- Hernandez already showed his prowess when he's in 6- Valencia gave me some kind of concerned as well.especially that particular cross that only need a little tapping(Thank God their striker is short) and last but not least 7-CHICHARITO!!!!!!!! my advice to SAF,keep Nani,Keep Hernandez, keep Macheda.Don't sell this dudes(especially to some filthy club in madrid) and persuade them to live a low key life(british tabloid:the worst) for Anderson, well he hasn't played with the first team guy quite often yet, hence those miss passes, however his ability to run and his skills will be valuable once he gel with the team, more matches will definitely help that, same case as Carrick |

QUOTE(dundermifflin @ Oct 1 2010, 04:58 PM) i dont think Sunderland will defensive. they will attack right from the start and the crowds are behind them. they are very attacking side at Anfield last week. they'll defensive in 80th min if the score favour them. and they will play physical game against us, non stop closing down, grind out the midfield, our CM better be prepared for this...they wasn't that steady against Valencia who did the same thing minus the physical part (in fact they closed us down all around the field)Bruce love to play with 2 strikers. and they have very decent strikers, in Bent and Gyan. but this will suit us more. im prefer facing attacking side than defensive side (except that team are Barca). the game will be open and more exciting. |

will Rio-Vidic partnership continue in tomorrow's match? or will Evans replace one of them? I prefer Rio-Evans than Vidic-Evans if he made the first 11...

QUOTE(Wan @ Oct 2 2010, 09:52 PM) Defence look normal. Might be the time to give Evra a rest or that SAF feels he should be bench for this one because of form or something. Midfield seems good with only Ando who seems 'not normal' there. Strikers..well the fact that Berbatov and Rooney is not on this one explains a lot. Owen/Hernandez - Macheda seems ok although Macheda might play wide for this one unless one of Ando/Fletch plays outwide instead. Carrick didn't even on the bench today, thought he recovered d |

VDS -- great performance, that 1 on 1 save was purely 20+ years of experience talking
Rafael -- still good, but offensive was off Vidic -- rock at the back Rio -- second consecutive clean sheet after he's back, and 3 matches he played so far, United conceded 0 goals O'Shea -- not so stable, performance was so so Fletcher -- help up the defense, but maybe tired after consecutive matches Scholes -- just recovered from injury, not that on form and was under pressure whole game Anderson -- still finding his "linkage" withe the team, but show promising qualities Nani -- should cut the "acting" part, and don't regress into old "selfish" style please Macheda -- like all youngsters, inconsistency still a bug for him, but crappy play from midfield also limited his performance to some extend Owen -- he's the opportunistic type of striker, no chance created, no goal, nuff said sub: Berba -- why he didn't start puzzled me (maybe SAF has his reason), but our attack only kick-start after he was on the field Chicharito -- start to blend into the team, 1-2 combo with Berba was lovely, too bad didn't score Bebe -- quiet night for him Sunderland trounced us in every aspect, 1 point is good enough, and hopefully the international break will serve as a good rest and window for the coach, and players to sort out any difficulties they face, and i definitely want to see Anderson play more This post has been edited by dlct87: Oct 4 2010, 08:07 AM |
