i dunno lol. since we are playing valencia away, we might opt for 4-5-1 with berba alone upfront. ji sung will be the 5th midfielder. its scary actually to think that valencia is top of the league despite losing 2 of their most influential player...

kinda reminds me of when we lost tevez and ronaldo.. a striker and a winger

as i remember berba alone never quite work in term of getting goals.
problem is we lack of scoring midfielder at the moment. but nani could be the different maker if he can bring his A game

u know, the ankle injury thing could just be a cover story so that people won't lose confidence in him. saf like to play mind games after all.

Yep. That's my point bro. I never seen Rooney playing this bad before with full fitness. Unlike last season after the Bayern match, Alex risked him and it didn't paid off at all. And give Owen a chance too! He might come good smile.gif

I guess Chica will play, I think this game kind of suits Chica's game, where we could hit Valencia with counter attacks, and I would love to see Chica's

pace leave the defenders far behind and score a beauty (or three!). thumbup.gif Berba there to control the pace of the game. Aaahhh...so nice wub.gif

Berba needs a m8 to play with.. He can't do much alone upfront cuz he seldom run with the ball, he walks with the ball and play one touch game only..

yep..i don't think berba can play alone up front. he can hold the ball pretty well, but i think he lacks the speed for counterattack etc. a lot of his goal were from crosses and corner kicks while he was already in the box

in my opinion, we need to cover up our leak first before we could think of scoring. moreover playing away against an in form team is a tough ask. since nani is getting now more into team playing role (with his crosses), it would be a safe bet if we play counter attacking stlye. release nani to feed the ball to berba. and if things are going as planned, we could see owen and/or macheda in .

is actually easy said then done sweat.gif
wonder how it feels being in SAF's shoes now..

i think... Javier still needs time to adapt to EPL. :/
this is a personal opinion of course, because the way he's playing now is... just.... horrible. (personal opinion of course)

thats why (personal opinion of course) I'd prefer Berba and Owen to start, Macheda becomes a Solskjaer (personal opinion of course)

and not to forget Rafael on the right, Brown in the middle (personal opinion of course)

Based on the Soccernet stats, its worrying to see that we are conceding most of the goals towards the last 30min of the matches sweat.gif sweat.gif

If SAF play with 2 strikers, then Owen deserves to start. He has scored 3 goals in last 2 games.
And Brown should be given chance for RB slot.

With Berbatov not really works well as lone striker, we might have to stick with the 4-4-2 and if that so, I would agree to give Owen a start. Hernandez played against the brick wall of Rangers and didn't make much impact so I am not sure if it will wise to throw him in again for this tricky away tie.

2 wingers out, so if 4-4-2, Nani & Park? or Bebe tongue.gif

Obertan play in the reserve game b4 so I think he won't play. Put Hernandez wide again?
