I think we need to publicise this case even more so that ppl will know it's not just a petty conman...to all the newspapers and TV media, not just in cyberspace. Who wanna volunteer to write to all the editors of Malaysian media? Preferably a victim of the con job himself/herself.

Those who made the report have the right to ask the police what they have done. Once a report is open for a case, polices have to response to it. Any tried going to that MCA guy? I think his name is Michael Chong. Since Police are getting some bashing nowadays, concentrate on saying that police not doing their work of solving internet fraud cases or lack of skills. You can't just wait for things to happen here in Malaysia. You have to do something.

He promised to sent the balance RM600 worth item to me but never did it. I've post his scan IC and bank detail in Lelong few years back and more than 2000 Lelong members view it. The photo post here is real him but the address is fake as I've tried to look for him that time...not b'cos of money but the way he behave....he always think that he is smart and all of us like idiot!!! One of his legs is lame (tampang?) but when you see him don't pity him as he is getting smarter and bigger balls now to deal with bigger con case! Wake him kau kau when you see him then pass him to police before other ppls get con again!

Perhaps you should chill for a moment & think about what you have done to get this guy instead of blaming the people that had been con & thsoe who are helping with this matter - UNLESS you are the conman himself. I'm not gonna argue about it with you because I am nobody here, just another forumer, and as I can see you have 1000+ posts in this forum which means you should be a veteran, but I'm just giving a friendly reminder that you should watch what you are postings. We are Malaysian after all & everyone is after this guy, so perhaps a little bit of constructive & positive posts & suggestions can help in the way. Maybe you & the rest do not agree with my comments here, but that's just what I feel. /sorry To the rest, good job so far, apparently this guy had been operating at other places as well (as mentioned in lelong.com.my), so he must've been dodging alot since then. We all know that we can't take matters into our hands too much as we have our own daily business to go through, and that we ourselves might get into trouble with the law if we do beat up the guy once we caught him (but for those who are intending to do so, it's your choice), so my advice is to keep pressing with all the cooperations with the law (keep contacting them) & make use of all necessary media to help in the matter. They need to show you what they have done as far as looking for this guy. I am no police but i am not sure why it's so hard to look for this guy. With all the leads they could either look for this conman or the wife. It's so easy, just tap into her Maybank account will do. Or they could look into their IC address or they could look in credit card companies or they could look in bank accounts to trace for them. I am sure it can be done easily by police (if they willing to do it). Oh well...not enough boot in the butt i guess...

If the police arent doing anything, i suggest we find someone powerful enough to make them do something. He has the media at his back, his panel of lawyers doing the work, and most of all, if he mention it in paper or anything, its better than to ask those newspaper publish for you. Please do consider, I CANT STAND IT ANYMORE...i'm already dissapointed at our police force. My house got broke in once, and I've seen enough of their working attitude. i'm a passer by, trying to help, i feel sorry for those who lost their money, and the least i could do is suggest something, hope it helps

Apparrently, the number of CONMEN caught by the police so far is.... . :drumroll: please . . . . read my lips and weep! Z E R O!!! Apparently (again), the police was NEVER successful at locating conmen from lelong . The girls said it's pretty much up to us to locate the conmen ourselves And I replied, "What should we do? Bring our whole gang and knock at the guy's door?" guess what's her reply? ... "VERY GOOD!" as she smiled and gave me a thumbs-up!

A young confidence trickster has got away with about RM500,000 in two weeks. Pos Malaysia He did this by buying goods in bulk using bad cheques and re-selling the items at rock-bottom prices fast. Police said the suspect, 25, had duped 25 businessmen from as far as Kuala Lumpur in the scam which he pulled off last month. State Commercial Crime Department chief Deputy Superintendent Ghuzlan Saleh said in all the cases, the suspect had issued post-dated cheques to willing wholesalers for a wide range of goods which included diapers, canned drinks and fruits. He said the suspect's scam came to light after a sports club here complained of a bounced RM10,000 cheque for five golf sets on May 19. Earlier the same month, he cheated a wholesaler in Penang of household goods, comprising kitchenware and appliances, valued at about RM94,000. Another case in Penang involved the purchase of several thousand chicks and ducklings, worth RM60,000, from a poultry farmer. Even lorry companies which helped to deliver the goods to his buyers fell for his scam. Ghuzlan said to pass himself off as a genuine businessman, the suspect had rented two shoplots in Bakar Arang near Sungai Petani. He said many of the goods were displayed at the shoplots as going-out-of-business items while some were delivered directly to buyers who paid in advance. "By the time the wholesalers and businessmen realised they had been duped, it was already too late. "They tried calling the suspect on the handphone or at his office, but the telephone lines had been disconnected," he said. Ghuzlan said the police had located two of the suspect's customers in Perak and recovered several crates of canned drinks and more than 100 bags of fertiliser from them. "We appeal to those who have been cheated or bought the goods from the suspect to contact us." He said the police were also eager to contact Chian Kok Foo to help in the investigations. His last known address was No 2 Persiaran Bercham Timur 3, Ipoh. Those with information on Chian can contact Chief Inspector Zainal Omar at 019-4414651 or the Kedah police contingent headquarters at 04-7741222.

After 3 years, he will come back to lowyat.net (his fraud playground/source of income) to con again. From this money, he can build his reputation by buying real goods and sell them in bulk. After that in few months time, he will be another safe trader with another nickname. It all goes in circles. 4. Most of the members here are not even above 20 years old. What do you expect them to do? Tell the parents? The parents might even wallap them first. Report police? I think they themselves are more afraid of the police than PE/Biu/etc. Also, do u think police take reports serious if you are not a full grown adult? Think about it. What bout those above 20? This fella is living in Ipoh with his mum. when chinseng got summoned to the balai to recognize him. his mum was there as well. from the police inspector. this guy is a regular visitor of the Balai.that means. he doesnt scare to get in jail for now. We need more victim to gather together.to go there to recog him. Chinseng said he will do all his best to get this fella in jail. and make sure he is the last victim from this conMan. and so. the AED 3939 Red Kenari. is his friend Car. he borrowed his friend car to did the deal with us.

Getting Started Junior Member 156 posts Joined: Sep 2005 From: Melaka	Hmm.....okie. its kinda hard to get trusted. cos i just join lowyat this morning. i went to Ipoh with chinseng yesterday to meet this guy for the deal. after we got cheated. we went ipoh balai to made the report. and coz of feeling pissed. i did some reseach from lowyat n found that its exactly the guy who cheated us..this Conman. chinseng went to iPoh this morning to meet the inspector. and report this issues detail to them. and got this guy caught at 3~4pm and he went to ipoh again to recognize this guy. and thanx the god. its him. believe me or not. chinseng will post this guy photo later. 1more hour he should be arrived. i am feeling angry cos he ran away from both of us.... cheers.

Tell the investigating officer of your case that the conman had been caught in Ipoh and the next action to be taken. From there onwards make your next plan. Dont go to Ipoh hastily. You might waste your precious time travelling all the way there and back with no result.

Man should be responsible for what he did. since he daring to Con.

Firstly because you all deal with him without any documents for example, invoice, Delivery Order or even cash bill as evidence, although you can open case to sue him but won't be sucess. The only solution is, you all meet up and go Ipoh together, and try to find hit man or at least Private Investigator to follow him back home, get his address, then.....you know I know. Settle this case smartly, don't soly depends on law enforcement .

New Member Newbie 2 posts Joined: Jul 2005	don't simply goto ipoh, polices are not easy to deal with sigh.. i went there twice also didn't get a REAL result. i'd suggest those victims who have previously conned by this malay conman and HAVE officially reported to police seek advice from the police station they previously reported to or i'll give you the phone number of Ibupejabat Polis Daerah Ipoh tomorrow if i manage to get one. this conman was very calm and steady in police station just now, no signs of panic. his hometown is definitely ipoh as far as i can tell, for inspectors in department of commercial crime in IPDaerah ipoh seem to be very familiar with this guy. this is already an official criminal case. i'll unveil this case to the media tomorrow if necessary. will update you guys as soon as i have any new info. bear with me, i'm too tired to type more.

The list is all i can provide for now. My suggestion is, you may request forum mods to assist you to mass PM names in the list. I believed there was around 30+ members who lodged reports against Shahrilwan. With Shahrilwan's details, the police can easily trace back cases lodged against Shahrilwan. That is what i was told last time by a Inspector in IPK KL. You may also contact lelong.com.my admin for their police report details for reference.

It is impossible that sharilwan is in KL FREELY right now, BSJP (commercial crime) IPDaerah Ipoh would be in big trouble otherwise. i was told he must be locked up on the spot and will spend at least this weekend in jail until the court re-open on monday. and yes, his criminal record was already retrieved from database by BSJP Ipoh, and surprisingly he isn't in jail after committing more than 50 commercial crime.

Once all the evidence and witness has been collected, police DA or victim's lawyer (if commecial case) will make a case out of it. If the DA think that they have a shot at nailing this guy in jail, then they will proceed with bringing this guy to court. Or else, police will close this case due to insufficient proof. Most of the time, if the victim does not insist or presuring the police to nail this guy, he will get away because this is a small case compared to murder cases and such and our local police are too lazy to waste time on minor cases. That's why chinseng80 need a lot more evidence and proof against this con men. But you dumb people only know how to sit behind your "father" paid monitor screen and watch this thread thinking someone is doing your dirty job. I don't blame 8balls for being harsh. With all the talk only attitude we have the kind of Malaysian attitude that is not doing the country any good. PS: the above procedures are just a general idea of how i see proceedings with police investigations work. I have no experience on how Malaysia police works but that is roughly how it should work from logical thinking. But at least I am using my brain instead of assuming he is in jail. On my way Junior Member 511 posts Joined: Jan 2003	Yesterday I went to watch Superman. It was a nice movie. Well, some of u fellas now must be asking, why post this here. Some might already had their magazine checked and ready to fire it all out. The thing is...... I watched the movie in Ipoh Jaya Jusco TGV. Yeap, the place to watch latest movie in ipoh. Some of you might have guessed it by now. Yeap, I saw him, in fact them. The infamous Shahrilwan Sidek. No mistake it was him. Limping around, and was together with another chick who I"m not so sure if she's a chinese. She doesn't look malay that's for sure. And our dear Sharilwan now is sporting the short hair cut. Very well dressed. I saw them before entering the cinema at the waiting area for Friday 5.10pm movie. The minute i saw how he walked i caught notice, then when saw the face no doubt it was the same as the picture posted here. The best thing is, he was sitting right beside me in the cinema. Haha. Was very suprised indeed. Though I never got conned by him, that minute i was quite exciting. I would have surely called anyone of u here if I had known any of ur numbers at that time. I think he also perasan that I was noticing him. Haha. Hope he didn't get the wrong message. I would say the couple did seem to enjoy the movie pretty much. That's it for my part of the update. It's the first time i saw that guy in person. Wow.... I bet some of you would pay to trade for my place at the the seat yesterday.
