may I know are you taking this galaxy tab as primary phone?I think it is too big to carry around(shopping and etc) and difficult to make calls...
*
Yup, at the moment I still carry another normal phone as well...smile.gif

I've carried it around for several days now and I don't find any difficulties carrying it around with me..the tab is still pocketable n can fit most of my pants...

To make calls will be a bit weird but u can still make calls and use it easily with one hand..im using a bluetooth though....

Overall, I'm very happy with it..practical,good productivity, complete feature and fullfill all my needs... thumbup.gif

now my wife n daughter can play with the ipad dengan aman nye...don't ever need it anymore...heheh! whistling.gif

personally for me the tab is great..i do have both the tab n the ipad..and for me the you can definetly do so much more with the tab.it has a better form factor compared to the ipad..

The only thing that lack on the tab is the all great ipad games..which I definetly can live without...

Pimping the home screen with widgets, icons, folders n live wallpapers is so much fun! I couldnt have enough of it! drool.gif
The stock touch wiz sucks though...ADW is far better!

Cheers!

Is it possible to use bluetooth keyboard with the tab??
*
I can confirm that my think outside stowaway BT keyboard i bought almost 7yrs ago is working fine with my GTab. I have now done 3 full charges so far & it on average use, about 4hrs of surfing & checking emails i got going for 46hrs before it ask me to charge. Obviously i keep my 3G & Wifi off when not surfing or checking mail. I'm expecting in a couple of weeks once the battery is well conditioned to get about at least 8hrs non-stop surfing. Loving it big time thumbup.gif

Samsung announces 7-inch Super AMOLED panel, makes first-gen Tab a little nervous

http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/03/samsung...akes-first-gen/

We're calling Samsung's Galaxy Tab the best Android tablet of the moment, but curiously the company seems intent on planting a seed of doubt in the minds of early adopters, announcing what may very well be the next Tab's display. Early (and likely baseless) rumors on the current Tab indicated it would be fronting a Super AMOLED panel, but of course that didn't come to pass. Now Samsung Mobile Display is set to debut a new 7-inch Super AMOLED panel at the FPD-International exhibition in Japan in two weeks, ahead of full production in mid-2011. Its 1200 x 600 resolution is a bit odd, wider than the Tab's current 1024 x 600, but more pixels in the same space are generally a good thing. That's all we know at this point, and of course there's no confirmation that this will indeed find a home in a next-generation tablet, but don't let that stop you from speculating in comments about what else the OLED Tab might offer.

Yeah, I heard that next gen WiFi only Tab will get 7" Super AMOLED rather than SLCD now.. And will be lighter of course.. So, I don't think they'll nervous as they'll get update to Honeycomb and Gingerbread too.. Almost same case with HTC Desire and Samsung Wave2 that using SLCD now.. tongue.gif tongue.gif
I think better wait for Samsung finishing their AMOLED production factory then almost all manufacturer that demand to use their brilliant tech will shining and proud with their brilliant 'Samsung' screen.. icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

those Super Clear Lcd on Samsung Wave 2 got advantage of the Yellow color spectrum..
same technology as those Sharp Quattron that the 1st bring Yellow as the 4th color spectrum.
that is what I understand when read the news when it 1st came out few days back.

Reporting in as a proud owner of Samsung galaxy tab.

The following is my personal take on this device:

The device is slick and portable. It fits nicely into our asian palms. The weight is just nice which doesn't add extra muscle straining burden that may cause you to lay it down on your lap after a while (a lot lighter compared to my housemate's iPad). Gorilla glass is great albeit being a fingerprint magnet. But I have a screen protector over this glossy surface just to be sure it doesn't get scratched. Who wouldn't protect his/her new toy? I try to protect the bezel with a silicone case that costs me 14pounds. It doesn't fit properly into the case though. Overall the build is solid despite being light.

Galaxy Tab is an entertainment powerhouse. The movie playback for instance, is awesome and it plays almost any file types (except RMVB of course). 1080p .mkv files plays flawlessly without frame skipping. The display is nice and crisp (but do not compare it to iPhone 4's retina display or any super amoled equipped devices). The touchscreen being capacitative is self explanatory. It is sensitive like any other capacitative touchscreen out there.

SGT has access to the huge android market. Needless to say almost half of the apps are free vis-a-vis App store. I just can't seem to stop downloading apps and games (I try to choose the best of similar apps). My wife has been playing Angry birds non stop. The disheartening news is that some are not optimized for the huge screen size of SGT so you will might end up with some black screen around your app display. This isn't a deal breaker however, with the promised gingerbread and honeycomb upgrade in the pipeline that will fully optimize its functionality in the near future.
