I didnt know what to do today, so i bought java ferns and moss for my bleheri tank. Lol

And just out of curiosity, for the java fern+moss, do I need to get co2 for it to actually survive or not?

Will update pics later. tongue.gif

Whats PEE? I read it wrongly. LOL. But all in all, the place is quite well kept, most tanks are well kept and maintained, just that not all fishes they have are of top quality.(Their Bleheri the color is not that vibrant, hehe) They do have the variety I admit, but some fishes are a bit more expensive than other LFS's. But maybe can nego more if buy in bulk perhaps?
But F&G is still going to continue the biz right?

Dunno, just came back outstation today afternoon, saw the other guy floating.  cry.gif

Didnt see any fin damaged or any signs of biting, so I seriously dont know. I think it died this morning. sad.gif

And btw, the other bleheri wont eat any of the ikan longkang! It just made friends. Lol. If i give mealworms or small feeder fish then only it'll eat. Aiyo
*
doh.gif aiyo...take out the longkang fish..sometime they carry diease too....especially when fresh caught from longkang

But the last time I collected sand from the river, I only rinsed it twice as the river water was really clean. So far, no problems with the fishes.

I don't know if the river water is still as clean as it was a year ago.

But what you said is really making me think. smile.gif

Where is you place? I'm looking for fine white sand, almost like sea sand.
*
i had a bad experience on river sand...imagine fish as strong and hard like channa can be effected...i did wash them but its still carry a parasite i think

Just a thought, since all of us discuss a lot about fishes, why dont we discuss what sort of filtration we use? As to the filter media, etc. At least can have some tips from the otai's. Whats good and whats not for what kind of fishes on what certain temperatures.  rclxms.gif
*
agree aimank...anyone can share?currently i use Bio ring, super peat, volcano stone, activated carbon and filter wool...i think activated carbon spoilling the good effect lol

Owh so that're bio rings. Okay i have oso LOL.
Mind taking a pic? Hehe
Btw, im using sorta a tangki filter usually they use. Dunno what term they call it i forgot. Just using in accordance : plastic balls, sponge filter, bio rings, activated carbon and peat moss(Couldnt find super peat tongue.gif)
*
my place still have aimank...i can show u when got free time....previously my water set up hits lower pH and lower acidic...that before i use activated carbon...but now after using activated carbon,my water set up became 6.5-7.5..nearly close to water tap lol..bare tank setup, those filter media make the water soft.after putting gravel sand substrate, the water hardness jump up lol.... doh.gif ....before this,i can smell "paya a.k.a swamp" feel on the water smile.gif even daphnia can live in there...they swim closed to java moss....
