Tech Support Maxis postpaid intenet bill problem

hai, everybody, i got a problem about maxis internet charges.

I using postpaid number (not broadband) put in my Maxis USB modem, it is max RM250 capping or not ?

example 1,

i use 5GB , 5GB = 5242800KB,
so , 1 KB = 1 Cent, i need to pay RM 52428.

I ask maxis officer, somebody say that no capping, i need to pay RM52428.
the RM250 capping just for "mobile internet package" , if i use Maxis USB Modem, i can not get it .
the officer tell me, RM 250 just for use handphone online only, if use usb modem , i can not get it.

But another officer tell me i can get RM 250 capping, either i use 5GB or 50GB per month, i pay RM250 only.

I found this 2 point in Maxis Mobile internet term and condition apply

P1.

1. Service

The Service is a service provided by Maxis which allows you to connect to and access the
Internet (both WEB and WAP services) via mobile or use your mobile device as a modem to
connect to the Internet at the rates prescribed below.


P2.

Notwithstanding the above, the continued use by postpaid subscribers of any of the above data
packages exceeding the time/size as specified above, shall be subject to a maximum monthly cap
of RM250.

in p1, i dun know the mobile device include USB modem or not .

so , if i use 5GB in a month, how much i need to pay?

if u not subscribe any package, it mean pay per use condition, i guess u need to pay it.

i been charge RM1000 for data usage during world cup time, before that i din ever know the charge rate.

Need help with the same problem,I subscribe for 1 hour pass and play Facebook for only like 20 minutes(and install some application which are Free of Charge) and I got charge RM 90(after I minus my current amount before I subcribe).Total time taken for downloading and installing including surfing Facebook is 35minutes or less.Can someone tell me why I got charge so high? vmad.gif

usually by MCMC aggreement to telco in Malaysia maximum broadband allowed to charge consumer is RM250... although you have exceed the quota or limit...

Mobile internet with limited caps is suxx.
I'm subscribe 100MB pass and my maxis bill this month almost reach rm200. sweat.gif Last month before I subscribe this, my billed is just around rm50.
The worst thing is we don't have a method to check how many KB that we are already used and block when caps are reach. I call maxis CS and they also told that we have to check and monitor ourself with KB calculation in handphone. doh.gif

Whichever way you look at it, Maxis is a bloodsucker without a doubt. I am in fact thinking of switching to DIGI. Maxis seriously sucks.

I thought they would inform us if we reach 100MB,that's why I surf for a long time shakehead.gif maybe I shouldn't use bill anymore scared things like this might happen again.

The data transfer over phone is like a "time bomb". I spoke to sales consultant, if you have data package for your mobile, maxis would only max up to RM250 per month if it exceed the data volume. If you are not, it is 10kb for 10 cents. 1Mb = RM10 shocking.gif If you keep on downloading like 1Gb of video. RM10 x 1000 = RM10,000 ringgit. WTF

I subscribed to the Maxis 100mb @ RM18/- per month package and I know
for a fact I was keeping tabs on my usage BUT just received my October bill
I was charged additional RM250 for using over 100mb limit.

My bill states I used :-
Maxis Mobile Internet / Maxis Mobile Internet
07/09/10-06/10/10 GPRS/EDGE/3G 119,600KB = 1,195.40
Rebate for GPRS/EDGE/3G Usage (100 MB/month) -921.20
SubTotal for GPRS/EDGE/3G 274.20 SubTotal 300.45

So now Im to pay additional Rm250 for my excess usage which I know I did not exceed!
My Nokia E71 showed Packet Data :-

All sent data :- 21,765kb
All received data :- 76,754kb

Thats a total of 98,519kb...sigh they insist I pay or else my 12 year old line will be barred...
I cant show them my proof cuz my phone auto deletes all info 30 days sad.gif

so anyone here has the same problem, how did you manage to fix it?

if this is 1st month you subscribe to the plan, ask them to check the date you subscribe... mostly they extra charge u

if u think u have been overcharged, dial 123 or go to their centre to complain.. most probably cant be solved in the first time.. but eventually, after few complaints and one or two months later, normally they (Maxis) would offer a solution---> rebate/discount/adjustment.. just my own experience.. laugh.gif
