What To Do After Purchasing The iPad?1. Read The Manual!Downlaod iPad User Guide:
http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPad_User_Guide.pdf (right click and save as)
http://www.apple.com/ipad/http://www.apple.com/ipad/gallery/#adhttp://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/2. Set Up An iTunes Account. How?A: Regardless of whether you are on the Mac or PC, you should have the latest version of iTunes installed (
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ ). You will need this program to activate your iPad and to set up your iTunes Account so that you can buy/download more games/applications/songs/videos/etc which you can add to your iPad.
Although it is possible to set up a Malaysian iTunes Account, it is highly recommended that you open a US iTunes Account instead. The US iTunes Store has no limits to what content you can access compared to other localised versions of the store.
Q: How to sign up?
A: Download the PDF guide from one of the following links to find out how to open a US iTunes Account for free:

Q: Can i have a few iTunes account and sign up for free?
A: Yes you can create as many as you like. We recommend that you setup a M'sia and a US iTunes account. You can switch/login different iTunes account via Settings > Store in your iPhone or sign in with your desktop/laptop computer but only one account at a time.
Q: Can i make purchase in US iTunes account with M'sia Credit Card?
A: You will not be able to make purchases from the US iTunes Store with a Malaysian credit card. The solution to this is to get the iTunes Gift Cards which you can use to redeem for store credit.
You can buy these gift cards locally by looking for sellers in the Garage Sales section. (To redeem: iTunes Program>iTunes Store>Quick Links>Redeem)
Q: Can i use M'sia Credit Card to purchase Applications?
A: Yes you can and only valid for M'sia AppStore.
Q: M'sia AppStore sells in Ringgit or US currency? Any handling fee for international transactions using M'sia CC?
A: All transaction will be done in US currency and your respective CC provider/bank will impose a 1% charge on top of that amount paid.
Application price: $0.99 = around RM3.70
Total amount paid with 1% transaction fee using M'sia CC = RM3.74

http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/Q: I got no credit card, can i register for iTunes ? And how do i purchase game without credit cards ? Is there another solution to it ?
A: Purchase iTunes gift card at MOL.com
QUOTE
MOL.com works, create an account, then you got like 6 ways to reload your points. The way I used(and reckon for MAS) is Paypal. You MUST have a Paypal account, then in MOL.com after u verify ur account and is logged in, you look to the left panel and choose Reload Now under Paypal.
You transfer the money over, then viola! you'll get credit points. I reckon you check the price for the cards you want.
https://global.mol.com/global/portal/en/iTunes.aspx$15 iTunes Gift card - USD 18.50
$25 iTunes Gift Card - USD 32.00
$50 iTunes Gift Card - USD 62.50
So when entering the money to be transfered, lets say you wanna buy the $25 card, you enter 32.00 and below you'll see 3200 points registered.
Steps to follow for Paypal:

Q: Does iTunes US gift card credit has expiry dates/time?
A: Nope.. no expiry date/time.
Q: Do i have pay for my applications again after i upgrade or restore my iPad or reformatted my comp?
A: Do not worry about having to pay again for applications already purchased from the iTunes Store as purchases made are a one off process (lifetime). If your application does not show under the iTunes Library (or does not appear after a sync) for any reason after firmware upgrades, reformatted your comp, simply reselect your application from the AppStore, click buy, type in your password and it will re-download for free.
Q: Can i share purchased applications/games with 2 or 3 iPads?
A: Yes. Just authorise those iPads with your iTunes and you can share your applications and games. Those iPads will need to sync with your personal computer iTunes and not others. If they were to sync with another computer, all applications/games will be removed.
Q: How do I authorise/deauthorise my iTunes account on PC/MAC?[/b]
A: For this part, I will lead you to the Apple's site for more information. For your information, one iTunes account can authorise up to 5 PC/MAC. Hence it is essential for you to deauthorise a PC/MAC before reformatting it.Q: Transfering my applications to a new Computer. How?
A1: Option 1. You get to re-download all the purchased app from iTunes for free if you happen to move to a new computer or lost all your previous data. iTunes/iPad will prompt you that you already purchased the app, and do you want to re-download it for free. (credit wei)
A2: Option 2. From Mac or PC, copy the entire "Mobile Applications" folder into an external storage device, an external HDD or a thumb drive. Plug that external storage device into your Mac or PC, and open the folder. Leave that Finder window open, and run iTunes. Sign in into your iTunes account. Then drag-and-drop ONE app, from that "Mobile Applications" folder on that external storage device, into your Mac or PC iTunes. It should copy over into your Mac or PC iTunes library, which answers that question of yours whether it recognizes your PC or PC iTunes file format or not. Then try and sync your iPod Touch to it. If it installs the app over, then it works. Drag-and-drop all the other apps from that external storage device, to your iTunes on your new Mac or PC, and sync your iPad to get all the apps back into it. (credit stringfellow)
3. Upgrading Firmware(FW)Q: What is firmware?
A:The firmware is the operating system installed on the iPad. Apple releases firmware upgrades for your iPad to reflect new software improvements from time to time.
Q: How to upgrade firmware?
A: Firmware updates are done via iTunes. Every time you connect your iPad to iTunes, a check for updates is done automatically as a default setting. You will be prompted to install if there is new firmware available. You are recommended to ignore this and to turn off automatic updates (in the prompt pop-up). It is recommended instead that you do your research first on the new firmware and when you are certain you want to update the firmware, you can do so manually in iTunes by clicking on the "Check for Updates" button.
Q: What happens if i upgrade from previous firmware?
A: Note that every time you do a firmware upgrade, any settings or preferences on your iPhone will be wiped out and can be restored to the state you want so long as you do a backup before the upgrade. iTunes will automatically prompt you to do the backup. Syncing your iPad after the firmware upgrade. Backup will restore all your applications/saved game data that are wiped out during the upgrade process.
4. Get micro sim cardQ: Where to purchase?
A: Purchase 3G prepaid/unlimited/limited plan from Digi, Celcom and Maxis. You may need is to cut the sim card in micro sim version.
Q: How to cut? Any tutorial?
A: Sim cutting tutorial:
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1466267/+23605. iPad Warranty Q: Is iPad international warrantied?
A: iPad warranty has international warranty. Nearest country to claim warranty is Singapore.
Q: If i don't have the official receipt, will they still acknowledge the iPad?
