if you put the clear case on it, the hinge will droop slightly when you hold it upside down. otherwise no it doesn't fall open

Yeap, that is exactly what happened to me. No longer able to lie on bed, hold the phone up, and type. I used to do that with my G1, as the sliding mechanism and design is totally different where when you slide out, it locks it in place. As for Desire Z, it doesn't lock it in place, instead it uses the weight of the screen and sits nicely once slide out, and no locking mechanism. |

I think screen protectors make my screen all nasty. I decided to leave the plastic that comes on the phone when it's new on

mdzaboy: it's not loose. It works just fine.(and it doesn't feel like it will come off easily too)
Just some people who loves typing QWERTY keyboard while lying on bed will have problem, but otherwise it's alright. |

QUOTE(Abangali @ Nov 17 2010, 09:51 AM) it seems that new android phones like to do this, coz my friend had issues with his Galaxy S like that for a while and then it went away. Check your applications and your system updates - maybe it's updating?QUOTE(mdzaboy @ Nov 17 2010, 10:23 AM) nope, no problem with mine. |

how often is your phone upside down anyway, besides when you're lying face up on the bed? the hinge is NOT an issue
