Hey kevin... thanks for the tennis session at Holiday Villa the other day. Without your effort and arrangement, i wont get the chance to play with Vobs and Yan. Hahaha!!  tongue.gif

Too bad the weather did not favor us. Anyway get to play with sani, Yan, Vobs and kevin in that short period of time.  biggrin.gif

@vob
Wow... that speed serve really cost alot on you.

V. Selvam is that guy came with his family in the Malaysian Open seating in the VIP seat right?
Wearing a yellow T shirt with Malaysia written behind.

guys guys, hope u dont mind me doing some corrections ya:)

1) yellow shirt is selvarajoo, national coach, not v selvam

2) tennis is not boring for beginner as we now already have modified equipments and balls to suit beginners level of coordination and play. they will be able to get a feel of playing tennis in one session (Play and Stay - google it).

with play and stay, learner will keep more balls in play and pick less ball due to lesser mistakes. its fun as the different modified equipment and balls will be chosen to suit your level of coordination and play. PM me for more info if you're interested.....im certified to do that:) thanks

It worked for my wife who doesnt even know who federer is and kept the ball in play more times than any beginner could (maybe beginners luck hehe)....now she know rafa and fed, and already having fun playing tennis when she have time......from there im gauging her level then slowly upgrade to different modified balls until she can play the ori tennis ball at the end of the day:)

just my 2 sen correction that tennis is not boring anymore for beginners:) dont flame me ya, i mean no harm...surrender as usual:)

we only need the modified balls and play on our own or need a coach to assist us

kinda interested with this ball if it can improves my games
*
well, definitely need a person who can teach and play to create steps, assist (as a sparring partner to keep the ball in play for your enjoyment), analyse (to see technique - which is less of a priority for play and stay) and correct.

There are actually few different modified balls for different levels (kids/adults), but the only modified balls that are sold in shops are the foam balls (slowest and do not bounce as freely - good for beginners who lack coordination/kids) which u can try. the rest of the modified balls can be ordered at specialised shops.

its actually made for kids, but it can be applied to adults who do not have any sports or tennis background to start the game.

Enjoy!

After whacking fully for 60mins+, 1 word=SYOK!!~

Balls might be quite short, a few inch after service line maybe, but it's skidding everywhere! My smash 1st time from hitting middle of service box jumping to top of the fence, less around 30cm then will go out of the fence. SYOK!!~

wahahhaa.. have been slacking and struggling for past few days, decided to stop and sort out my mind block.. then i realise it's because I don't stick to basics that causes my game to be inconsistent.

today went back to basics, from there, hit and adapt to the opponent. play with max focus and energy, maybe more. and then, forget about the adaptation I made today, just remember the basics.  =))

as dealing with different opponents, you'll need alterations to your strokes and games, but 1 thing that never change is BASICS. and 1 thing that will remain to help you in dealing with different opponents is experience. =))
each game is to solidify your basics and increase the experience.

we must be willing to master the basics. unlearn, relearn and keep learning. =))

wow, really respect your passion:) keep em coming bro....btw, wanna trade your technifibre racquet with my head radical mp microgel? heheh

*yawn* first for the morning! YAY!

wah gcooi sounds like your concentration level is very high and good maintenance, keep up the good work....one day hopefully you can layan unkle and play some points....

vobs....currently I am not so sure of my racket count....some I buy and keep because I use to play with them, but now grown up, not ngam lol, others I buy and keep for collection....others I just buy to play with for stroke.

I just got a racket its NOT new, and its NOT a new model racket, this racket was released in the 80's I think, its very flexible lol, I tried it yesterday for a doubles match , I could only punch forehands, and slice/lob backhands, could not top spin, serves and volleys were 'effortless'.......I just cut the strings and will string with a poly at 42 lbs, hopefully I can get some pics up later.
*
enough said, that means u got many many racquet hehe. i got 2, selling 1, so left one.......never like two racquet that do not have the same spec......even bought the same model also abit different feel, so i rather end with 1 only, no need think so much.

Regarding Babolat I have no real experience with their rackets, so I really cannot give any accurate information , what I do know their previous generations were arm breakers, ALOT of people bought them for their so called 'power' boost, it came at a price....tennis elbow. For me that is a deal breaker.

However I have heard alot of positive reviews for their new series especially the Pure Storm GT series......I am thinking about getting 1 to try and see for myself, but I think I will look for it 2nd hand or 3rd hand lol :-p
I have heard the control is very good, I like 'control' rackets with no power as I rather use my technique and 'stomach' for power hahahaha.
*
i tried pure storm gt strung at 55lbs once with poly and another time with multi.....i felt it was like papan:) and it does not go well with my elbow issue.....maybe if strung lower than 50lbs would have been better but i wont know:) im not a babolat fan in terms of the stiffness feel, but i do like their swing weights, its light compare to their claimed overall weight.

yeah babolat got lots of control due to its stiffness (if anyone do not understand why stiff give better control - google it) and yeah, since bro prae is good in tennis, he will be able to produce power off himself:)

im always a head fan since they have racquets with stiffness lower than 60 RDC.....which is good for my arm......wilson kblade team also flexible but too much power for my free swinging pattern.....maybe will start trying technifibre to see how their racquet fare........

went to the showdown tennis exhibition and checked out the dunlop booth.....all the biomemetics are there, 300 tour, 300 which is verdasco chosen weapon....and the rest of the new range....retails at rm700 plus, not sure how much after discounts....the 300 tour is my choice due to its nice maneuverable swing weight and its paint job is dammmmmmmmm nice.....simple yet sophisticated.....

im sure this new range will not disappoint for both attention seekers, racquet collectors as well as tennis players.......
