Either repair it here or send it back for repair/replacement.

I guess when they send it back here Clove will charge us for the postage back here?
I think if I were to send it back I am looking at about RM 300 postage fee. If repairing here is cheaper I guess it is a much better option. This post has been edited by jiangchen: Dec 21 2010, 11:07 PM |

Yeah it is cheaper to repair here, and of course only the tiny earpiece need to be replaced but who knows how much moto service center will charge for that little thing... I didn't have time to visit them yet.

Hi Sanosizo,
Which Motorola Service center did you call and are planning on going? I have searched for the address for any Motorola Service center but so far I think they are outdated. |

I don't know for sure, I think some dust speck...
Was taking out the battery on the table, heard some sound like screen grinding on some dust speck, so I turn it over and there it is two tiny scratch. This post has been edited by jiangchen: Dec 22 2010, 11:23 AM |

Yes it can. My defy just got scratched. The scratches are quite substantial, can feel a bit of the depth with the finger nail.
So defy is not scratch proof, just scratch resistant. Check this out if you want to know what I mean http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=821129 QUOTE(fubs @ Dec 22 2010, 03:09 PM) gorilla glass can be easily scratched? Stratos,
I also did try it with the keys, no problem, I even stab it with a pen no problem. But today when I remove the battery from the phone and the phone was face down on my table. Apparently some small dust speck, a bit like one or two sand like speck was on the table. While removing the battery I heard some scratching sound and to my surprise the screen was scratched ! Try some sand, or ceramic stuff, maybe it will scratch, since all of us only use metal to try the screen out. This post has been edited by jiangchen: Dec 22 2010, 04:24 PM |

use key of course no problem, it will scratch if u have dirt or small bit of sand trapped between the screen and something that can press the particle deep into the screen protective layer...
