I believe there are no more official motorola service center like moto service one, it seems that motorola appointed some phone service center to be their authorized repair place like the one in sunway mentari where my phone is currently being fixed. Moto phone sales in malaysia are not as good as nokia and sony ericsson, perhaps that's the reason they closed the place and outsourced it to third party. Hopefully the technicians can do their job properly.
Just a quick ad, I got the last otterbox commuter case for defy, the person who bought this will get an additional clear screen protector and a exclusive otterbox handy dandy phone stand |

i dump the phone into a glass of cold water in the office and everyone was amazed. i talked on the phone while walking under the rain and some people stared. i put it into an aquarium and 2 people who watched the recorded underwater video now bought their own defy. the phone ear piece broke then i talk with it backwards and more people stared

defy has a second mic for noise cancelling at the back. i use the mic to talk and the back speaker to hear people at the other end talking, but need to lower the volume all the way down. when outside it is ok but indoor people can hear the what the person talk

QUOTE(daijoubu @ Feb 8 2011, 11:53 AM) Thanks for ur reply! most custom roms are made based on blur-less firmware. have a look - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=855If that is the case, then what does the locked bootloader is preventing now? And the custom roms that are available, there are ones that can remove motoblur completely? |

thats what happen when u have third party repair shop as authorized service center. repair speaker already costs 1/5 of the phone price. i prefer paying rm100 sending back the phone to uk tho...

i really hope they send me a replacement unit instead of repairing it. after the phone was opened few times, i doubt the phone ability to resist water like it was before. |

stay away from UK set for this moment, most of them have the dreaded earpiece problem.
to be safe, get defy either from local or singapore set. i havent heard any case of fail earpiece from those 2 sets yet. i have been using phones for quite some time and never use a screen protector. even tho defy is a tough phone, take a good care of it as a normal phone. sand is no problem, just wipe it off the screen. |
