jiang, i hope yours is a newer batch of phone so no worries. yes the moto service center now can repair it but they need to check the phone first. i havent send the phone yet because i just got back from vacation and need some time to do backup as well.
brightstar @ local original set will be covered by warranty if anything happens. |

you dont need to set the usb into debugging mode, start the phone in bootloader mode is enough. btw, your phone is uk set similar like mine right?
no need to wipe the system, just flash with the right sbf file (code jordan) and thats it. |

QUOTE(irenic @ Jan 6 2011, 02:19 PM) guys, i need some info here.. 1. is the speaker ring loud and clear? <useful for alarm especially> -- very loud indeed. clear? clear enough for me, alarm always wake me up, but sometimes i wake up earlier than the alarm. 2. issit fast for the GPS to lock signal from satellites? -- must be under clear sky then it will lock quite fast 3. is the screen responsive enough especially for fast-typing sms -- very responsive as other moto android phones. with multitouch keyboard fast typing is quite good and accurate. or u can swype the words. 4. is the screen viewable under hot sunlight -- currently im using the lowest brightness, under hot sun screen barely viewable, need to crank the brightness up. not an issue. 5. the camera, in scale of 5 (1 very poor, 3 moderate, 5 very nice for a phone), which one u will give. -- i give 3 only. it focus and snap very fast but image quality is so so only. picture can be enhance with kodak photo touch built in. thanks a lot in advance!! |

but it can be scratched by a tiny speck of sand... if you put it between the screen and another surface and then put some force on it.

i havent fix my phone yet, probably next week.
defy has the same cpu as droid x but underclocked to run at 800mhz. if i set the speed back to 1ghz, the result will be almost identical to droid x performance. |

Internet tethering = usb and bluetooth only
3g mobile hotspot = wifi Actually 3g mobile hotspot is a feature available only with froyo, it is also known as wifi tethering. |
