has anyone tried the online registration?

if i put the appointment this friday, will they actually come?

coz i would need to apply leave for them to install, my leave hav to apply 3 days in advance.

hope can obtain some advice here.

thanks
*
usually the installation appointment date is provided by UniFi as they need to check the availability of the installer...

It's mean TM will now install only G2 router?
Any problem like G1 (wireless,overheat,....)?
*
As some user mentioned before.... TM is now trying to finish up the G2 router and will introduce a new router...
Yes.. G2 still having the same issue as G1..

Need help from Expertise.

Since today morning, I couldn't detect the wireless signal from my Dlink-615. (wireless icon of the modem is on Yellow Light)

However the Lan is working!

I tried to restart the modem and it is still the same.
*
Try to chang to another channel and see..
if not.. then i think you need to call TM d...

Hi. I got a question would a homeplug 106E (85MBPS) be sufficient for VIP5 ? I want to buy two set. One for IPTV and another for my PC

Also. Why is Microtik RB250GS is better than the DIR-615?
*
As far as i know... Microtik RB250GS is a Level 2 Manageable Gigabits Switch..... We use it to create VLAN tagging which allow us to use our own router instead of using the TM DIR-615 router which tend to breakdown easily and also to allow the IPTV to work.

Yes, just check my bill last night! Unifi sucks & my line was down yesterday morning till now. Call yesteday night & the idiot diagnose the problem with me for almost 20 minutes! Then only tell me they have network problem in my area(Melati). Maybe they get commission from TM so trying to make more $$$ by keeping the customer online! BTW, if we use the normal TM line to call Toll Free no any charges?
*
i made a report via the Unifi portal... after 30mins... the "so-called" technician/cs called me... so no need to pay for the call... rclxms.gif

QUOTE(denver @ Oct 29 2010, 09:24 AM)
I just installed Unifi last week. Just wondering, the TM installer told me that I have to leave the black Huwaei box always on, or else my telephone will not work.

Will the black Huwaei box withstand being ON for 24/7 for months or even years? I need my telephone because my alarm system is connected to it. So switching it off is not an option.

My other concern is, by leaving on all the time, isn't this risky of being strike by lightning? Do you use surge protector for your Unifi equipment?

the Huawei ONT is lifetime warranty.... so no worries if it spoils.... biggrin.gif

does subscription to Unifi require an existing subscription to TM fixed line?

the installers are coming over to install at my house and i also received a call from TM to confirm the date but i just read this line at the T&C in Unifi website.
"Telephone line through TM fixed line only"

does it mean that i must be subscribed to a TM fixed line?

currently my house is not subscribed to any fixed line since everyone uses a handphone and my internet is using Jaring Wireless currently.

my fixed line already disconnected for many years back. the telephone port still there but when u plug in a phone, u will not hear any dial tone

my house is under the covered area so if not confirm can install, TM wouldn't set up an appointment with me right?

but being paranoid me, just want to confirm here if I need to be subscribed to TM fixed line currently to install Unifi.

thanks for replies smile.gif

No.. you no need to subscript to any TM fix line...
