Thanks for the update! Being a sci-fi geek, the SyFy channel is definitely a must-subscribe for me. Plus there are actually a lot of good shows on it. My only complaints? The picture quality looks very low, and subtitles aren't available. I wonder how much will TM charge for 5 points. That free 100 points a month is only provided during this promotional period, right? It would be great if this channel was free for VIP20 users, though.

should be though.. coz we only paid for VOD.. that 1 should be including premium channel.

QUOTE(akerue @ Sep 20 2010, 03:05 PM)
My phone line duct was blocked also during rennovation. What they did was they used a metal pipe to divert the line to my garden and then dug a path in the garden to my house. It is quite neat actually after it was done.
*
lol u guys infrastructure is so mafan and complicated.. the HSBB box is just directly behind my room, not even 5 m away. job done in a instant.. haha..

Thx for the reply, you probably had a better contractor than i did  thumbup.gif  Did they have to hack the road in front of your house? They wanted to do something like that for me, instead of using the existing pipe in the hole in front of my house, they needed to hack the road, make a new entrance for the cable to connect to my garden..something like that, i dunno, a bit difficult to describe it in words lol.  rclxub.gif
Hehe you're lucky biggrin.gif  the installers told me underground cabling got lots of complications, easiest installations are those done from the telephone poles. He said my house developer wanted to make the area more 'cantik' by not putting those telephone poles  sweat.gif
*
my whole area, HSBB box is behind the house though.. not in front of the house, that would be so ugly..

QUOTE(billytong @ Sep 20 2010, 03:42 PM)
Well it is the same for me underground cable here too, they took 9hours to complete my installations.  sweat.gif

External fiber come out from the TNB sewer cover inside my house storeroom(below stairs), then my telephone hub is @ there. doh.gif Because of that my BTU have to be inside my storeroom, so they can wire the VOIP output from BTU to the telephone hub to make all the phone wall socket in 3 storey my house work.  sweat.gif then my TV is @ second floor, they have to wire the full 30meter CAT5e cable to second floor TV, my computer is @ another room, I had to use home plug to connect my own router to 615 that is location next to my TV in living room.

Most sad thing is my BTU @ Storeroom is  doh.gif everytime need to config BTU need to bring notebook hide inside storeroom.  sweat.gif

walao so mafan. all the equipment is in my room.. no sweat.. easy job.. haha..

After less than ONE day of unifi... the router management page is NOT accessible and I could not browse the web from my web browser.. but I notice the torrent sharing is still working... the router must have ran out of new TCP sessions or free ports to serve new connection..

Restarted both the modem ( unifi is in condo in Mont Kiara, so I guess it is VDSL2)  & router.. everything back to normal after that..

This d-link router really sux man!!!!

Now I know why everyone is changing this piece of crap....
*
i use for like a month.. normal usual.. ytd i use torrent and i get 2.1 mb down and 2 mb up..

Just applied UniFi at TMPoint today... but the installation date is on 8th Oct... will I still get installation fee waived?? or i need to pay for it???
Anything need to know during the installation?? btw, I'm staying in apartment...
*
don't need to pay.. the fees is not by installation date but by registration date.. so you are safe.. even you applied on 30th sep still don't need to pay.

Keep the receipt you have to prove you applied b4 Oct. that paper worth RM200-300

TMpoint are so sucky these days that, they could wait a full stack of customer application then only send 1 lumsum to Unifi Department, so dont be surprise they send ur application after Oct to Unifi.
*
well i guess they need to activate the account by that day or next day to proceed with the appointment date.. but i called directly to Unifi center to
subscribe.

no u are wrong, I applied @ Tmpoint , wait 2 weeks nothing come, I called Unifi center instead, I ask them to check the system, it turns out that I was unregistered to them. This prove what? TMpoint didnt do the registration for me to Unifi department. I do a phone registration via Unifi call center, the next day they email the receipt for confirmation and date of installation. Everything went well after that.
*
perhaps la.. coz i didn't applied via tmpoint. luckily i didn't applied through tmpoint coz of laziness. call better.. me few hours later send to my email for the confirmation account.

Bro end of this month no more free premium channels and no more points. Could be extended, but at the end of the day it's not going to be free for users registered on July or August. It is only free for VIP20. Damn sucky. Affordable my foot man. Where got more affordable internet service.
*
hehe i VIP20...
