If you don't have the recipe in the 1st place, it won't let you synthesize. Of course if the required lvl of smithing a item is higher than your current lvl, you'll botch it most of the time until you get near that lvl just to get a few success. LUCK does play a main part...

FFXIV is a rather CPU intensive game, so yea, all M11x models sux for this game.

All graphics w/ starting NV GT335M/ATI MR5650 onwards is playable under low(720p). Most laptops are preferred to run low settings becoz it's not a PC after all XD... M17 w/ ATI MR 5870 should be able to get 2500-3k w/ low settings.

Not anytime especially during fight. you can equip other class' weapon in order to change job. If you can't, then it might have to do with some of your armor which is not supported.

You can't unequip weapon on main hand(IMHO game design flaw...) but you can switch to other jobs by equip the job class' weapon(i.e. sword, axe, hammer, spear...) on main hand. Correct me if I'm wrong though

A source of mine(cough...LS member only...) had reveal that the NA ver. payment option is Credit Card, UltimatePay and another called ClickandPlay. This UltimatePay is essentially a form of PayPal for gamers which supports many CC, which means our card may able to buy Crysta points thru UltimatePay and use on NA FFXIV. I haven't hear about the EU payment plan yet but if UltimatePay is also one of them, we can be safe assure to pay our monthly access easily .

P/S: Btw, Arzwarth, if you still remember at FF11 there's a player called chriscvf, that's me lol. Gigi is in my server(FFXIV) w/ minimimi & Xcalibur w

We're in Istory server where most Asian players allocate. Raxephon? I didn't notice though. Initially I reckon gigi's char bcoz they all use back the old FFXI char name w/ the God as last name lol, so it's pretty obvious. How about others like our ls leader(forgot name... T_T), still playing?

IMHO it's SE's way to do things. Somehow JP has a different approach to online games = =. I'm fine w/ stick to 1 server while migration still applicable.

In Istory, just in my LS already reached at least 100 asian members(mostly TW), which LS leader requested other to create another LS just to occupy the remaining players which haven't include some HK players. @_@

You can type chinese(a TW programmer did 1 which works great) but some characters are unable to display since they pull from the JP char base. The TW players are all aware that they're not allow to type chinese in open public/party, just in LS since they don't wanna give bad impression to JP players to think they're those China RMT/got report then got banned.

It's still comes back to FFXI's fundamental, party = faster level up if you're level/pt whore lol. I found JP players nowadays are more acceptable towards asian players(except noob ones or low level) as I do enjoyed pt w/ them which occasionally non-stop 2hrs straight w/ little to none break. A little japan language is encourage at least in order to get pt more often, just not sure will it apply to FFXIV.

You're right on the translation part . Still remembered last time I'll put on a JP note if I wanna do quest/mission/pt just so JP will acknowledge me lol. Anyhow, I preferred to be known as Asian too rather than NA/EU even though I write English bcoz some NA players do have attitude problems

Since when warrior tak boleh use shield pula XD ?? Gladiator is known for various weapon specialist...so consider warrior IMHO XD

This system only applies to Disciples of War it seems... I don't think you can get body parts using staffs(poke...poke...)?? w Maybe there's a possible to have Cooked monster body parts too since you use magic to 'fried/steamed/microwave/marinade(poisoned?w)' a mob, they might as well straight become food

P/S: A huge improvement from SE on the UI side as I found out it smoothed out especially when you just browsing your menu/inventory. It's a pain in the ass during last time when you just wanna look at some items. Not sure if I'm right but during solo, it also become smooth. IMHO it'll be a great if the AH system exists since I'm lazy to walk around looking for retainers while there's a 'supermarket' in every city. SE should take some of the WOW ideas on AH.
