Finally decided to try Gingerbread.

Flashing [14 JAN] Pure Gingerbread gpc_hd2_gingerbread_v4 [RMNET][Kernel: gpc#199]

Added on January 15, 2011, 9:52 pmDone trying. Like the interface very much but the lack of HTCSense (after using HTCSense so long) has make it a pain in the butt for me. I couldn't find a way to sync facebook friends to my contacts, or is there a way that I don't know about?

Meanwhile, flashing to [13 JAN] imilka's HD2Z NAND v1.1 now.

assuming RAFROID Tmouse version/ no sd version

Oh. I forgot to check that one, but I assume about 700MB at least. Its pure Android without extra UI so it shouldnt be too big compared to DHD.

Im also TMous HD2 but still in SD buildmethod laugh.gif , tempting for full Nand storage without SD card,

In that case, about 500-600MB depends (can be bigger if the dev squashed the system to very lite build). Quite enough I will say. I also ONLY prefer to use NAND on its internal storage, not SD card.

--------------1.11AM--------------
Reporting in with the latest [16 JAN] Pure Gingerbread gpc_hd2_gingerbread_v5 [RMNET][NAND][Kernel: gpc#199]
T-Mo internal available space: 744MB

Smooth like a baby butt skin, for now. Usability and durability compare to DHD or DZ ROM, on hold till further report from me.

Added on January 16, 2011, 1:57 amAfter using gingerbread, I am seriously considering of forgetting desire HD already.. its so smooth and fast I feel like I am free falling! Its an omg experience! The only thing is whether I can live without sense..

So gingerbread's NAND Rom is consuming less space than DHD build is it ?

I also used to the sense build already and now also in dilemma in choosing to use gingerbread NAND build or stay on DHD SD build XD

I'm not a Tmobile user sad.gif so the space is a problem for me.
Wanna know the Gingerbread build will left how many space for me if i flash to nand.

If you are a Leo512, minus off the extra space Leo1024 have and I think you still got approx 250MB. For bigger storage then use the App2SD by creating an EXT2 partition on your SD card.

All pure Android build is naturally smaller than custom UI build like desire HD so it naturally consumes less space too.

Its so fast I am having a dilemma to switch back to DHD. The current issue I am facing is that in Gingerbread I have yet to find a way to sync Facebook to my Google contacts, which means no photo for my contacts. Not sure whether it is due to the build I am on, or it is widely known issue for Gingerbread. Nevertheless, fast and smooth in basically anything I do! Hope that in a short time the devs will be able to fix all the currently known issues.
