Afaik,
it has NO limitation, only release ROM has some limitation, eg Desire HD, Desire Z camera module is not yet working.
Android performance speed on HD2 actually was very good when tweaking the right rom & kernel

QUOTE(gerrardling @ Nov 24 2010, 10:26 AM)
what are the limitations for android 2.2 on hd2 ?

whatwhat11
Restore the android back to official rom with de-hspl

TongCN
Recent official rom could run android without HSPL, but its better to use cooked rom because its more android friendly. Whats your android build name & kernel use ? hows the battery consume reading with current widget ?

Achieving lower power consumption depends on android build AND kernel.

Its recommended is to turn off wifi or turn off phone (flight mode) in windows mobile before launching haret.

My lowest standy consumption is 4m, mostly 6m. Reboot few times (2/3x) until you got the lowest point.

HD does capable running android more than day, but thats without intensive use. My typical usage for both winmo and android is 1days due heavy usage of wifi internet browsing, games & camera.

btw
I found very interest android theme, unfornately its require service or recovery boot,

Standby from 100% till 90%, means 10% power consume on nighttime. Most of MDJ build has 4-6% standby ie 100% by 2400h, and 96% by 0600h.

However, result are vary base on kernel uses.

yup, Im on testing it
default MDJ DHD release has old kernel (Hastarin 7.6), will not work without patching to new kernel, recommended - Hastarin 8.5

To get the camera work, Im using kernel 8.5.1 and Camfix_HD patches. Result, green image when flashing (auto brightness). Avoid this by manually select brightness level (as long not auto). The camera fx is not yet working. Camcorder mode still not working, do not use it, once use u cannot use the Camera mode and require reboot to use it

This camera Fix should applicable to MDJ Froyo Desire HD, Froyo Z, Glacier or any Desire HD rom base ONLY wink.gif

QUOTE(ChiaKhai @ Nov 30 2010, 11:35 PM)

Wah not even one days MDJ release DHD 4.2 ? and the kernel is OC to 1.4Ghz ?

but ....
Theres another Desire HD base rom which I found very fast and snappy, release by Cedesmith. This is MUST TRY for those whove using MDJ DHD base rom

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857261

Cedesmith Desire_HD2 is faster than any other DHD built exist, give a try

After testing MDJ DHD 4.3 rom is more stable but somehow it has stuttering delay when drag down the notification bar, market download speed still slow everything else is good and stable than MDJ DHD 4.0,

Im returning back to Cedesmith DHD Beta2,
my reason ;
-Market download speed was fast (<- my main reason)
-Fast drag down on notification bar
-Smooth 720p (mp4) video playback,
-Camera & camcorder fully works, (via fix)
