I found HD2 usefull for Garmin XT navigation when running winmo OS, Iv living 5 years through winmo 2002 - 6.5, HD2 is the last & fastest winmo device when running Garmin XT, it even faster than Garmin GPS itself.
Though I miss alot winmo Sense UI compare to Sense Android version 1-Running winmo default from Nand & running Android from sd card will have slight delay response, some lag occur when shut down & turn off devices. Getting android is like copy the folder & execute the command files (we call it haret.exe), this will not affect winmo OS because everything loads from memory card. Recommended for beginners Imagining a boot sequence would be -powerup > boot > SPL > load factory winmo rom > running android haret > exiting windows > android -powerup > boot >HSPL > load custom winmo rom > running android haret > exiting windows > android SPL- Sequential Program Loader - a lock loader (similar to S-on) H+SPL - Hard SPL - unlock for installing custom rom or intend MAGLDR flashing. ----- For method 2 or 3, it require MAGLDR boot, Rom excuted from MAGLDR either load WP7, Nand or SD 2-Running Android from Nand & other android version from SD. eg MIUI from NAND & Cynogen/Sense from SD. This is more preferable, faster & alot stable, when using stock Android (Cynogen) and MIUI roms. A boot sequence would be -powerup > boot > HSPL > MAGLDR > Load Nand Android > MIUI rom -powerup > boot > HSPL > MAGLDR > Load SD Android > Cynogen rom / etc 3-Running WP7.5 from Nand & Android rom from SD -powerup > boot > HSPL > MAGLDR > Load WP7 > Tango 7.5 -powerup > boot > HSPL > MAGLDR > Load SD Android > Cynogen rom /etc complicate ? have a visit here & search hd2 for video tutorials, http://www.jayceooi.com/ previously he/she got lotsa hd2 tutorials include youtube video or http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=928 ---- QUOTE(lwk523 @ May 3 2012, 11:47 PM) |

Running rom from sd applicable for Android rom ONLY so far, so u cannot run WP7 or winmo from MAGLDR boot / MAGLDR SD
There a 2 types for loading Android from SD, 1-loads from Winmo its executed by tapping shortcut name haret.exe, 2-loads from MAGLDR boot, no haret involved, the MAGLDR call android rom by folder specified. Performance is similar however. Lag appear mostly when turn off & turn on immediate, ie ;ag from standbye to wakeup, let say u tapping fast the end call (on off) u'll have delay blank screen wakeup However when the roms active (ie running on screen) sd rom would perform good as nand. Speed depends on SD card speed and rom stabilty. U can have performance SD android rom when using clean Cynogen rom but using Sense rom in SD is big no because its huge RAM consume affect the speed Major drawback (for SD Android) roma fully running from SD card, expecting battery intensive when standbye. Eg standby in Android SD mostly 30-60mah, Nand Android 1-6mah. Each time Android on 1st load, some lag appear due SD speed caching to RAM, eg sluggish sliding homescreen or apps list on 1st load, this mostly affect on heavy rom like Sense rom, Im suggesting to try WP7 1st in Nand, but u need activation codes to access marketplaces. Its better to get another spare memcard because its clear everything on 1st WP7 boot, WP7 uses encryption partition, u cant access this encryption partition. However u can resize partition to put Android SD folder in the memcard (so u can run the SD android) (check out tutorial in given website) once u bored with WP7 we talk about Android back sorry for delay message, u know holiday QUOTE(lwk523 @ May 4 2012, 12:51 PM) Noted, let say LEO512 and LEO1024 and which u prefer ? Another question is which combine is the better which no lag ? [wm7 + android in sd] or [wm7 + android in nand ] or [wm7 in sd + android in nand] Sorry, I still confuse with these yet. Just now I read some thread in XDA and i noticed that if i install android in SD and when i update my wm7 rom and my all android will be gone . Is it true ? Thank in advance |

Previously we easily get the activation by email & live chat (as I do), some SDHC card not compatible with HD2, avoid the higher class, Class 4 or 6 should be ok
1-4.yes Im sorry for delay message, PM for immediate respond QUOTE(lwk523 @ May 7 2012, 03:58 PM) Wow, I'm really appreciated for your text-ing and it's really save my time instead google it all the day long. Wah, u got 2 units HD2 ?
hows the camcorder on ICS ? does is working good as WP ? me still look ahead for MIUI ICS, QUOTE(Jcsy @ May 15 2012, 01:59 AM) already on ICS, and HWA is blazing fast This post has been edited by enCORe: May 15 2012, 08:40 AMalready on WP7.5 and thats blazing fast as well, with some volume bugs here and there GB is yesterday, move forward with Titanium Backup ive restored data from Froyo, GB, ICS no problems even with my old Angry Birds save games and yes, i have 2 HD2's to interchange, interswap and interflash ive done combinations and even made a guide for WP+Android SD (dunno gone where by now) when you flash WP, it wipes your SDcard (so bye bye Android) as well so there are a few steps involved to making WP+SDandroid via some partitioning tools SD-Android is just for play, and fun.. NAND is for the big boys SD-Android issn't what i would call optimal, unless you have Darkstone's 2.2 FROYO RAM which was amazing fast but gets corrupted once in a while, |

there the lite version in there (later page), what insterest me they said its faster & lighter than sense 3.5 jerry previous stable rom comes without HWA (hardware accerelate) but then HWA kernel coming, theyve to refine entire rom to fix the bugs, no worry Im very positively on HD2, Anyway most user use Tytung NexusHD2 & Xylograph IceCreamTosti & sportstar ICS build, read some comments in XDA before flashing http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=928 |

Not sure of that,
but I dont think HSPL affect radio signal because it was mean for software bootloader, SPL = sequence program loader. Maybe u can ask Jcsy, Iv test before the DFT Fruit cotulla rom, 3G data connection works fine. Anyway what I love most on WP7 is the 720p camcorder camera & browser stabilty. hey there,
ya lor , no user using with HD2, this thread is such lonely Lotsa people jump to better devices, XOX, SGS3, but til now no device could satissfied me, so I choose to stay for a while, mine was 3 years still intact & no problem or faults. Anyway Is your sister trouble in winmo or android ? I think xperia play is cool, the gamepad is handy with PSP+mobile phone experience QUOTE(neato4u @ Jun 21 2012, 01:18 PM) hey what's up peeps! Been quite a long time since I visited this thread as my HD2 has long gone and replaced by Xperia Play. My sister in law HD2 is acting weird lately, I told her to sell it off but she liked the HD2 sooooo muchh (after I installed Android on it.. hehe) that she's refusing to let it go.. I read that more people are leaving their HD2 behind. It's still a good phone. And I have so much fun flashing ROMs and lots of mods with this phone before. Now having XPlay, all my skills like gone.. hahaha.. need to sit back and re-read the stuffs all over again.. I guess if you don't use what you learn, later it will be dusty |

Oh not again,
I guess the international HD2 has these digitizer plague issue compare to US/ TMobile HD2 or perhaps my loyal on HD2 makes me lucky, Im not in MIUI GB 2.3. its call My MIUI http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...&highlight=miui this is very2 good MIUI rom, QUOTE(neato4u @ Jun 21 2012, 09:59 PM) Bro encore, yeah I kinda missed this thread and it's people. Which is so friendly and helpful compared to some other phone threads It's the famous digitizer problem. But she had the phone since 2010, so it's been like 2 years ago.. still looks pretty new though (what do you expect from a careful lady user, hehe). I may refer her to a shop that fixed my wife ex-Samsung Omnia touchscreen.. that shop does it well and cheap. But I may need to dig back my old contacts and see if it's still there.. Nice to see that yours still run well encore. Btw, which ROM are you currently using? The only thing I hate about it is the multitouch on Android (eg. if you play ice hockey 2 players, then you will notice the issue). |

Give a try with Parandroid, the only multi dpi rom, I love the tablet mode, Kanchong Both version capable install & runnning Android , the only different is capacity; ie internal ;TMous 1gb rom, normal/international is 512mb rom. For beginners I suggest try Gingerbread for best evaluation, then flash the ICS to experience the benefits |

I can only recommend Duttys rom, the best for 6.5.x , some user still use win 6.5 for navi purpose, coz the best navi soft still Garmin XT, really love the old slide sense. i see mostly the winmo section is dead, but i'd still like to have it again. the last rom i was using is chucky's rom.
