I do understand.
I'm just wondering why this issue seldom happened previously? Like only now?
Additionally, is there no way you can't discuss with Hotfile to get things worked out?
*
Like i mentioned on my previous replies, its happening now because other services has closed or/and some stopped paying uploaders. Consequently:
i) Many switched to HF for downloads (since MU and FSN closed) - causing a lot of b/w to be used overall, on HF.COM network - thus they started to ban users.
ii) Many moved from NO MORE paying host to HF as they STILL have affiliate program (as compared to some which closed affiliate).

Added on February 7, 2012, 12:31 pmand HF has currently been updated and fully functional as i mentioned. It is under "observation". We DID tune it up, and we hope this time there won't be fast bans. sad.gif

i always get this error "We couldn't get the remote link source to download! [Either the remote link is dead or the premium account used for the download is expired] " download from uploaded to. managed to convert but cannot download....

Hi ddr3, i updated about ul.to above. They are VERY expensive. That is why at times you will get that error, when b/w is out.

We have increased DF, bought many HF accounts, and others also during the past 2 weeks. and ul.to cost us 4xmore than others. We update ul.to b/w this week sometimes but won't increase b/w limit or overall limit as its currently not possible, we need to "cool off" first - otherwise we will be bankrupt.

I hope you can understand.

sorry, what is b/w? ok, thanks for the clarification  rclxms.gif

b/w stands for bandwidth - it is the amount of GB the filehosters allow us to download from accounts. smile.gif

Hello neo,

We do apologize for the delayed reply. We were ironing out certain things.

Regarding ul.to, i've explained a bit about the situation regarding the cost of maintenance. Since the accounts were beaten down to dust since no b/w left out - it is causing problems sad.gif - We will try to get it working asap.

Letitbit - When one of our filehosters do not work. We disable it and do give a "Temporarily disabled" message upon generation to inform the users why it was disabled - instead of letting the link generate and then having download problems. We've updated our FB page regarding it, thanks for pointing out smile.gif And i wish to tell you that we do not update "instantly" as we try out many things in the hope it will be back online soon.

Bitshare - problem is down to them. hopefully they fix it soon. it will be fine on our side as soon they fix their issues.

Regards,
RG

Sorry folks,

We have database corruption due (we think) to a dos attack. This might mean we have to revert to our support database from 2 days ago. When we do, we'll let you all know asap. We are working on the issue and hope to have it resolved by tomorrow afternoon at least, but that's probably as long as it should take.

In the meantime, users who had active accounts from 2 days ago should still be able to log in to the gen. Apologies to any users who had just signed up, we'll get your transaction ids later and get you all set up!

Apologies for the inconvenience!

Thank You

Hi guys,

Some updates for you.

We've almost completed the restore of our billing server and the support system and we should be back by tomorrow.

Users who were enable to login (newly registered users), will surely be compensated when we're back running fine.

Other than that, the main download services are working fine on the gen.

We apologise for any inconvenience cause but this is necessary because of the DDoS which caused the problem.

Regards,
The RapidGen Team

now, nothing works...

not true, i have tested wupload, hotfile, megashares, uploading, filepost and all are working fine. please don't say 'nothing works' when you also say you only used rapidshare - it's not really a fair statement and is misleading to others.

letitbit - i'm not sure if any link is working for anyone but i can't seem to get a working link. before, it used to be an occasional connection error, now i can't get a single link to download. please let us know if you are getting ANY downloads from letitbit and friends at all, so we can try some 'fixes' wink.gif

bitshare, extabit - seem to be working ok apart from the occasional 'failed to make remote connection' error, which we think is due to connection limits on the filehosts' side.

as for rapidshare, we hope to have it fixed sometime over the weekend smile.gif

i mostly use rapidshare because nothing else works, and rs really popular among the uploaders...maybe they work some time, but not when i need them, so i just rely on rs...

letitbit cant seems to work, filefactory seems unstable (just now not working, filename not found!)

exabit works i assume as daily limit is reached, bitshare works, wupload and megashares works splendidly, never once have problem...
other filehost are not that popular i guess, links for crocko and video bb not so frequent, so cant test... but nice to have the option...
*
ok thanks for the update, we'll have to see what's going on with Letitbit!

can you open a ticket on our support system regarding filefactory and send me that filefactory link? as i can see filefactory still working - maybe it's only certain links causing the problem?

Rapidgator has a limit like all the other filehosts. Limit depends on which package you buy, see premium table for more info whistling.gif

Yes, it can.

Quick update: we are low on Rapidgator because we cannot buy accounts from them, as they are not accepting credit card payments at the moment. If you have problems with any other of our supported filehosts, please open a ticket.

But where did the filefactory gone to, I used to had them available since back then? wink.gif

i just disabled it for now as filefactory deleted our premium accounts with them. we'll bring them back very soon, don't worry.

In the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions of filehosts they would like added, or even new features, do let us know, and we'll see what we can do.

That wouldn't have anything to do with our downtime, unless IDM was making split parts from our main server...(??) I must check into this smile.gif

Unfortunately no - we have added it, removed it, restored it, removed it - they ban our accounts so fast hmm.gif
