Any current Maxis Fiber user? Is it stable compared to Streamyx (wired) / P1 (wimax) etc.. Planning to switch over as RM118 @ 10mbps is attractive.

Patience guys, I submit applications on the next working day itself and directly to the the Home Sales support team. As I might have personally mentioned to some of you, there is a long Q and heavy backlog. The usual 3-5 working days response has now turn into a 7-10 working days response.....

From that call, it will be another 2 weeks to 1 and a half months to installation, depending on your area.....

All I can say, OVERWHELMING response....
*
Gonna pray hard that not -much- of people are interested in Fibre plans at my apartment so the queue is shorter, or hopefully all of them went for Unifi when it first launched at my apartment 2 months+ ago.. tongue.gif

Some are fast, some are slow....
Guys, besides the backlog, it also heavily depends on port availability (telephone number). If not available at the moment and they are waiting for new ones to be released by govt, means they can't fix an installation date first and thus, no call.

I will follow up for you guys, don't worry, k?

You are lucky by the way....get confirmation so fast... :-)

Install one thing also can be so frustrating. 9.30 AM appointment, until 3PM no where to be done and canceled it off due to absense of contractor from TM. Come on Maxis, you can manage this better? You can say that it is TM's fault as they did not send in a contractor / the contractor forgot / late / etc, but that's not my concern. You rent equipments from TM, you sort out installation / contractors issue with TM. All I need to understand is that I am subscribing to Maxis, not TM.

Sorry for my rant, here's the long story if anyone is interested. doh.gif vmad.gif

P/S: I clearly know that Maxis did send their staff, and +1 point is that they are ON time. But they should manage external contractors with TM even better, I cancelled and put off everything today just to wait for the installation. Now I have to free up another day when they "decided" the next installation date. doh.gif

It's still Maxis' fault to me. They are the ones responsible to drag the TM contractors lazy asses to your home. As if they can't make a phone call to TM to send someone else or something...
*
That's what in my mind too. I don't care they need TM's staff because maxis rented their equipments or whatever behind the story, I am paying Maxis for it's plan and services and anything goes wrong, it'll be them. Sigh, not I have no idea how many days or weeks (hopefully not MONTHS doh.gif) for next installation. cry.gif

call maxis CS for compensation lah. Do you know that if u cancel the appointed installation date, Maxis will charge u for rm200 for re-appointment. Now work vice verse, Maxis re-appoint the date, they pay back u lor.
*
I doubt that Maxis CS will do anything. I have sent a PM regarding this to DrPitchard and see if he could help me out.. if all else fails I will just complain to CFM / Maxis' Forum.. see what they gonna do. Let's see what they will work out, especially on the installation date..
