my vdsl modem and thomson router will be in my master bedroom as i am using my pc there...

my question is:-
1)can the dect phone place in the living room

2)what about the iptv(set top box) which someone said will be introduced in a week time? can it be placed in living room with my vdsl modem and thomson router in the master bedroom?

confused and worry leh!

good then, i already got a telephone cable from my bedroom to living room for my existing streamyx connection

but i guess the set top box/iptv is a tricky one... any taker on this?

Anyway, is there any installation fees for MHF? Landed house.
I want the modem and everything connect to my room which is second floor, I think the cable need to be quite long right? Is there any additional charges? If there is, how much will it be?

Another question for people that are having high ping issues, before this high ping issue, do you guys have problem surfing / gaming / downloading?

I'm a hardcore direct downloader (Rapid Share) / Youtube / Fushion / PPS
and gaming like BF3, ARMA II and my sisters play online games too.
I don't torrent that much so that's not my concern.

Maxis CS Reply my call informing that TM having some bandwidth problem for maxis user. They are working on it and it will be back to normal 10 Mbps by next week.

When did you apply? It will take them at least 5 working days...

dota 2 to SEA server should fall in between 50ms-100ms
I only use streamyx, the ping is in 66ms so those with fiber should not more than 100ms.
They should able to get 10ms-40ms

anyone checked the launchpad on the 100GB quota usage? no more free download?

i can't see any detail in mylaunchpad. 

me2, now at 70gb done. dunno after 100gb will serow down or not.

She told me Home Fiber still unlimited so no data usage to check.

These hardcore users will create the "quota" to take effect even more quickly.

Downloading some TVB movies....8GB, now only 45% complete. Maybe the 12GB include both download and upload.

Hmm, every router i also can hack it actually. Now market alot of hacking tools.. Still better way to block mac-address direct

Although there are quite some complains here and there, esp regarding TM installers and speed, I guess there are quite a number of people who have no issues at all with their Maxis Fibre Home too. Diff is, they choose not to post anything here and keep mum about it... o.O

I think I'll stick with my Screamyx 1mb for the moment until TM come up with a better offer. At least at the moment I can still play TF2 (even a lil bit lag sometimes). Also Maxis CS described here sound like shit - some customers kena kencing la, some even got scolded some more lol. I'm quite satisfied already with TM's CS (eventhough they usually ask noobish unrelated details)... today 7am I called about line problem, 9:30am someone came and fixed.

I'm taking my chance either way.
Though I am also hoping the ping issue is only momentary.
