I just started the game and kinda trying to get used to the icons in game on how to check whether NPC got new quests etc...

Quick question here...

1) Is there any auto-walk feature? Like you click on a point at the map and it makes your character auto-walk to the destination?

2) I try to rotate the screen in game, but I just can't see my character's face, which I saw some people can do that in youtube. So, how do you rotate your screen until you can see your character's face? (BTW, I'm not talking about the avatar)

For the 1st one, I'm actually trying to see actually if there is a way to auto-walk to NPC. For example, press M and click on the point where the NPC is located, then your character will auto-calculate and move to the NPC.
I think LOTRO doesn't have this...

Is it worth it to Upgrade to Premium account? What do you actually get?

Cuz' I've read somewhere that by just buying turbine points, your account will be upgraded to Premium forever. Is this true?

yeah lotro don't have that kind of auto walk system.

you get 1 extra char slot, 5 selling slot on AH, can use advice channel. hmm i think thats it.

yeah you're right, well i got downgraded start of this month from vip to premium, and guess what? 5 character slot, 5 packs, and AH post, also unlimited gold storage.

did anyone aware that today, is evendim quest pack 50% discount? it's not up yet, maybe technical issue, or timezone problem?

i just bought GTC(game time card) from offgamers.com. but it didnt work, the email sent to me confirmed that i've renew my subscription, but my account still premium, and i've seen the forum, seems i'm not the only 1 facing this kind of issue...

So can anyone clarify which package will get you the most "bang for your buck?"

I can't decide whether to play free, and buy the things I need along the way, or just go VIP and don't need to worry about unlocking content and stuff...

Which is more worth it?

Edit: Whats the ping like in this game? Is proxy needed like WoW?

i suggest you go for f2p 1st until you reach your character to lvl20. then buy Mines of Moria, which gives free 30 day vip from offgamers.com. if not mistaken less than 30bucks.
the ping i'm not sure, cos i've been playing using p1 wimax, sucks for games.

Latency is normally 250-350ms, which is pretty smooth.

However, today seems to be getting constant packet loss and some lag spikes... just go read BroadbandUser-2-user and you will know it's not LoTRO fault.

My download just finished too, installing as we speak.
So which is the designated Malaysian server?

The game seems to be looking good up to level 7, kinda story driven so you might not wanna miss any dialogues especially those quests that come with prologue. Not to mention that the graphic looks awesome, it would have been better if I have directx 11 and a good graphic card, then I should be able to experience the game to its fullest. I checked out some videos on youtube on the Ultra High resolution graphics, it's simply amazing.

By the way, I'm also new to the game and I join the majority ---> Elendilmir Server (Unofficial Asia Server)

as of current, the max level is lvl65(with siege of mirkwood expansion), well, me too i'm keeping my ign secret, cos the name is my ex gf, and i'm still loving her, 1 day i'll win her heart back. and i dont wanna disclose the name cos i dont want her to google and suddenly see this thread
