You know what. Familiarize with you camera first. You been asking non stop and I see no point in getting good gears if your photos like piece of junk. I might sound harsh but start shooting with what you have. Work with limitation and how it should go !
I can shoot landscape with 85mm, 50mm and even 35mm. Why can't you ? I start of with D40 and everything manual when using those prime lenses.
And till today, I have yet to see a single photo from you (oh ya I miss out the wedding photo where the head was chop off ). Meh, trying to be gear heads ? Don't be. Good gears only comes well with good skills.

Giving you D3s with trinity but without skills also no point ! Start shooting and show us your skills

bro, just the body.

i shoot mostly in manual mode, and sometimes aperture priority mode.
it really depends oh what u want to shoot and how u want the picture to be.
if u want to take a model/potrait shot with a blur out background (bokeh), then u should fix the aperture,  and use the shutter speed and ISO to adjust the brightness.

the shutter speed,ISO, and aperture has its own side effect to the picture.
the shutter speed will effect the motion of the picture.
the aperture will effect the depth of field of the picture.
the ISO will effect the noise level of the picture.

I started 1 year ago and I've not attended any basic photography course. Just read online a lot, there's many guides out there and basically shoot more. You will get the hang of it.
