guys, how to train your pups not to bite you? I know messi have an itchy teeth, his bites will not injured me but if this becomes a habit, his bite might injured my fingers or hands at a later stage. He is very aggresive when comes to biting.
Damn, he is learning to bark(like adult dog) yesterday. He barked two times at two different hour. I have to warn him no as we are staying in a condominium. |

QUOTE(suzannetan @ Sep 25 2010, 12:01 AM) Harlo, I think got a few la I got ask if the eating one is better or the injection, Miki took once she was fine and the one in Malaysia is pretty safe so for forgetful minds like me I opt for jab RM120+ also same price for a year. I am staying at damansara perdana condo wei. Not ttdi. Yup tried telling a lot of them before I think in this forum, hardly any of them listen, they're really determined to get one. I can tell because I'm once like that I want means I want, when I got Miki I thought everything is gonna work perfectly until I reliase taking care of a dog is really not easy at all. But glad that I never gave up and I really learned a lot, it is her that's teaching me how to be responsible instead. Like above mentioned You need to HAVE one to know the situation. Not to look down But seriously if RM200 also cannot pay I have no idea how ru gonna rare that dog. Hahahha your turn now veliii good Condo ... HAahaha good luck loh, eh which condo TTDI you're at already? I got a friend who smuggle the dog to stay inside also. But as long as not too noisy. I was exactly the same as u. I just ignored wat my colleague advice me, some more in condo.the first month bill was a bomb to me but lucky me go a bit extra that time. Was suppose to get this pup for my mum back in hometown. My parents love him a lot but I am not willing to let go for now. @divas revolution is d apply on. Very expensive. About RM30 per tube. Vet recommended use two days before and after shower to make it more effective as it is an expensive spot on. Will wait for ur tips ya. |

@suzanne Are you refering to spot on (Frontline/Revolution)? How much does frontline cost. Revolution if used for long term would cost RM360 per year. lots of money. Hehe... Heartgard+frontline cheaper than revolution or revolution itself is a better option? Hehe... You know la, I want to buy other stuff for him and will overspent for him...
@huey80 I read this on the newspaper today. Sad case. I guess we need to look out for the big sized practising certificate of the vet. @divas Thanks a lot for the tips on biting training. I read over my hp and will reread again on my pc later. Reply you in a while ya, I am in KB connection very slow. @paige Take your time to settle down and come back here and visit us when you are free. |

Teacup poodle is not in MKA or AKC. Teacup poodle are actually sick or weak dog. Their lifespan are normally much shorter as compare to the toy size. Take good care of Genia, k?

QUOTE(huey80 @ Oct 5 2010, 12:02 PM) Actually before this, i thot the number of pups per litter depends on what size their parents are esp the female...until i saw a tiny toy having 4 pups...and the latest news (got it last night), a toy size having SEVEN (7) pupssssssssss....in both cases, the daddies are a bit bigger than toy size. GOD. So now number of pups depends on who? |

Should be able to get for rm64 also if u know the doc personally. I will use revolution on messi on long term basis as it is a more economical as it give more protection like heartworm, mites and maige. Some of you might want to consider revolution instead of frontline + heartgard. |

QUOTE(CyaNide27 @ Oct 13 2010, 10:03 PM) hi, sorry to bump in just like that.... i'm more familiar with heartgard+frontline.... can i noe what was ur vet's comment/review on revolution? like does it have effectiveness/side effects? QUOTE(muchan86 @ Oct 13 2010, 10:30 PM) Just to state my opinion I still prefer giving heartgard+drontal for deworming and Front line spot on combo for ticks preventions. In my opinion giving things separately as in Heartgard for heart worm, drontal for deworming and front line for tick prevention suits me better thou the price is not cheap. This is because I believe things that came in package as in Revolution (included all) might not contains all 100% prevention for all types of heartworm etc. I'm not saying heartgard, drontal n front line do provide 100% either but I've been using these products for 2 years and so far so good so I'm gonna stick with it. I just hope the price not going to increase in the future xD QUOTE(suzannetan @ Oct 13 2010, 10:58 PM) I didn't know there's such combination ... but feels weird because frontline is targeting fleas etc and heartgard in heartworm which is internal. 2 serve different functions, I do wonder how both can work at the same time. Hello all. Here is my story. When I first brought Messi home, after few days he started scratching. Thought it was just a habit until I asked my Vet during his first jab that he loves to scratch. The vet suspect mites problem and say that problem can be settle with jabs later. After that he still scratching and I see more of mites related symptoms, dandruff stick hard to the skin. I brought him to the same vet but different person attend to me this time. There was a concern for messi to get skin jabs cause he was only 11weeks then. The vet said it might affect his liver and reconfirm with the senior vet. To be safe, they introducer me to revolution which is applied externally like frontline. To be honest, I have no knowledge about frontline and only know about heartgard after third jab! After a week the dandruff came off and he scratches less. Mites attack bold him at certain part of his body and took more than a.month to show the sign of new hair growing.Revolution is internal or external use? For the pass few weeks I have been considering the combination of frontline + heartgard and revolution. Until just now when I was at the vet, I was still comparing. One thing about revolution is very hard to find. This product is relatively new in d market and what I can say is messi is healthy for the past 3 months. Btw, messi is using revolution for kitten below 2.5kgs. Vet say can be used for both dogs and cats. |

QUOTE(muchan86 @ Oct 14 2010, 01:21 AM) Well I get your point I think it is very normal la. If I started with heartgard+frontline, I might not be using revolution. You might want to search revolution for puppies online to learn more as revolution also covers mites and mange which can be spread through dogs. Revolution covers heartworm prevention, flea controls, ear mite treatment n tick control.the thing is... I only applied front line when I plan to bring my girls out for a walk in the park or out for holiday in which I'm practically very sensitive towards 'ticks' I bought tick shampoo and shower them with it once a month. As for heartgard, I gave them every month and drontal for 6 months once? for deworming. Since your vet recommend it to you and you've been using it well. I guess you should stick with it. As for me or other ppl who do good with our combination I think we should stick to it either. unless if they want to try la..but for me I scared to try any new things on them so I would just stick to what I've been doing all the while |

QUOTE(suzannetan @ Oct 14 2010, 10:48 PM) Right everyone will just stick to what they're familiar or comfortable with, if so far so good I don't think we really need to change the routine. How much is the heartgard jab? I just get to know from friend just now. He told me the jab covers ticks as well. So many to learn... Whereas for me I chose the heartgard SR-12 jab, so far so good started since she was only 4 months old and just took another one to last until next year. I opt for yearly instead or giving every month because I'm pretty sure I may forget one day Then for frontline this has been working very well for me as well, once she caught soooo much of them until they climb all over my house walls and floor. After frontline usage for around 2-3weeks results start coming in and lasted longer than what I thought .. |

QUOTE(Totentanz @ Nov 11 2010, 09:36 AM) Wish to get one Poodle but I'm living in a condo so izzit suitable? I'm afraid space r too limited =x I am staying in a condo right now. So long as you train your poodle not to bark in the condo and no ones complain, I don't think it is a problem. But there is a risk you have to take when you bring them in and out of the condo without being notice. |

QUOTE(Divas @ Nov 30 2010, 07:12 PM) As long as she hasn't had vaccination in the last week then she can shower. A responsible breeder will tell you everything you need to know about your puppy. You can always call them for help. It's their own breed puppies. I starting to find myself lucky to have such a responsible breeder... If your puppy is especially small or weak in any way be careful. Even if your puppy is healthy you should keep the water warm and dry her off fully as fast as possible. Make sure no water gets into her nose or ears and ensure you wash out the shampoo well. Also make sure you give her a good brush all over before the bath (although not always necessary at such a young age, it is a good habit to get in to). Your breeder should have been through simple things like this with you... |

QUOTE(aileyteo @ Dec 3 2010, 12:18 PM) yaya...me oso want to know...never buy from breeder then how we know they r responsible or good lel.. do research yourself... A lot of advertiser with telephone no. You should question the breeders on the list of items you wish to know (i.e. pup bloodline, can view the parents, how is, how what and etc). A good and responsible breeder will not mind to answer all your question and normally patiently. Ask if there is a health warranty after the pup is home. |

QUOTE(devil86 @ Dec 8 2010, 11:35 AM) Dear all poodle lovers here, welcome welcome to the family. I will PM you shortly. I'm not a poodle owner but planning to own 1 female (I have a female schnauzer). By going through this thread, am so excited to see many forumers get their own cute pups I had called MKA to ask for the poodle breeders but they seem like lazy to layan me..I wish to know that from who u all buy the poodle pup? Looking through the pet store section, seem like junnie and julia are 2 "reputable" breeder or seller...any other breeders i can looking for? * 1 additional question to ask, can v bring the pup with no MKA to travel or migrate (juz in case) to other countries? Any good advise would be appreciated. Thanks. There is no significant in having MKA or not in migrating a dog out. Just they are rules to be followed if you are to migrate to australia, new zealand or east malaysia where quarantine is a must. These countries/states are rabies free for your info. |
