They missed quite a lot of England friendlies ryte?QUOTE(Ichighost @ Sep 4 2010, 07:34 PM) yes of cuz...Rooney is fcking useful in the WC..wanna report this..go on..Did Rooney play with his leg against Algeria?? No..why he lft it at OT... Ask Terry to defend properly against Germany la. Terry and Lampard also same one, play for Chelsea like so power, come to represent England, here mistake there mistake. Lampard like don't want to pass to striker one. When Gerrard was at midfield it was even worse, 2 guys shooting from outside like the whole game is they 2 play one.QUOTE(Ichighost @ Sep 4 2010, 10:42 PM) http://blog.sport.co.uk/Football/802/Top_T..._Cup_flops.aspx -Top 10 World Cup flops... I wouldnt. kindly read post #385's signature EPL game. Boring boring weekend. But glad Rooney played well. "I'd gladly accept Fergys comments once he realises that his team is just the same, if not worse. Yes Lampard is 32. Yes Drogba is 32. Yes Anelka is 31. But at least we don't have a 40 year old goalkeeper and a 36 year old "Lampard-equivalent" in midfield. If there is a team with truly old players. Then its definitely United" -Zhirkov(chelsea.vitalfootball.co.uk) yeah, without BPL games, weekend is kindda boring This post has been edited by -Franc-: Sep 5 2010, 06:29 AM |

What SAF said back then is true though, especially when there's Ballack, Deco, J.Cole, Carvalho still there at the time. Only idiots would deny it. THe was talking about the potential of the side, not the ability. Once players reach certain ages, they won't improve much further. He never said Chelsea can't win a thing or that they're not at a good level or whatever. In fact he said Chelsea would be the biggest threat to us each season I think.
First XI VDS-40 O'Shea-Vida-Rio-Evra(30+29+32+30) Valencia-Scholes-Fletcher-Nani(25+36+27+24) Berba-Rooney(30+25) =29.8 Cech(29) Bosingwa-Terry-Alex-Cole(28+30+28+30) Essien-Lampard-Mikel(28+32+24) Anelka-Drogba-Malouda(32+33+30) =29.4 ----------------- 2nd team Kuszczak(29) Wes-Evans-Smalling-Rafael(31+23+21+20) Park-Ando-Carrick-Giggs(30+23++29+23+37) Owen-Chicharito(30+22) =26.8 Hilario-us(35) Ferreira-Ivanovic-Bruma-Zhirkov(32+27+19+27) Sturridge-Benayoun-Ramires-Kakuta(21+31+24+19) Kalou-Borini(25+20) =24.5 (3 of those have not even been a regular bench player for them) Another 2-3 years down the line..? GK Rafael-Evans-Smalling-Fabio Valencia-Fletcher-Ando-Nani Rooney-Chicharito (Gibson, Macheda, Cleverley, Welbeck, Pogba) Cech ??-Ivanovic-Alex-Zhirkov Sturridge-Ramires-Mikel-Essien-Kakuta Kalou Surprised the Chelsea squad is smallish.. better pray bug don't bite too many of them at the same time. Added on September 5, 2010, 8:57 amThose ages I took is what they will be at the end of the season. Added on September 5, 2010, 9:01 amAside from LB(Fabio still to have prove himself) and GK, I'm really happy with the other positions. Bring on the future! Added on September 5, 2010, 9:06 amBtw, our Wayne Rooney have been pretty naughty in the last 6 months or so. He slept with a hooker/escort girl. It would be fun for the next couple of months. It won't die down anytime soon seeing who he is and who he plays for(us!). Either he would be depress over all of this to affect his performance on the pitch or he'll do a Beckham/Ronaldo. Me looking forward to all of this. This post has been edited by Wan: Sep 5 2010, 09:06 AM |

Hargreaves fails to make Euro cut
QUOTE Injury-hit midfielder Owen Hargreaves has been left out of Manchester United's Champions League squad. Hargreaves has made only a solitary substitute appearance in the last two years for Manchester United as he battles tendinitis. The 29-year-old midfielder has been included in United's Premier League squad, but he failed to make the club's Champions League group stage roster. New Portuguese signing Bebe also failed to make the Champions League squad. Uefa rules allow clubs to name 25 players, but United's squad has only 24 players, making Bebe's omission surprising, given he cost the club over £7m in the summer. Hargreaves underwent knee surgery in the US in 2008 in a bid to solve the long-term tendinitis problem. The former Bayern Munich player, who joined Manchester United in 2007 in a £17m deal, played several reserve matches towards the end of last season and came on as a late substitute in United's 1-0 win over Sunderland in the penultimate game of the season on 2 May. If United qualify from their Champions League knockout stages - the club's last Group C game is at home to Valencia on 7 December - they are then eligible to name a new squad of players. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...utd/8969734.stm |
