that 750 guitar also might be worse than a fina.
ever thought about that?
at least stuff like sx and fina do have a standard to uphold(even if it's lower than hell)
fakes passing off as originals have no set standards like,at all.

grades in fake is for the cosmetics..

ie. AA grade are imitated as same as the ori's appearance, bindings, paints, finishes..
same goes to NIKE's AA fake shirts.. the looks is amazing n cool but, it's not as comfy and durable as an ori..

the hardware, electronics, etc all came from cheap stuff plus they don't have a QC in terms of the functionality..

I'd say I wouldn't mind buying a fake guitar but for that price I am certain the quality of the wood is substandard..
Workmanship of the guitar also important and the fake guitars simply cannot deliver that..
Parts like pickups, tuners, bridges all of that can be changed as long as the wood and workmanship is good..

you have a point bro.
but lets say la,
you spent like 2k on a fake.
and then to spend at least 1k more modding it out,
like waste kan.
better just buy the ori.

honestly, i'd rather have a noob guitarist showing off his brand new fake fender than a real one. it hurts me to see such an incompetent player playing such a well built guitar...

still, seasoned players occasionally can't tell the difference between a fake and an original. for me, i can't tell the difference between a fake and real fender, maybe i could feel and hear the difference.

true.idiots with brilliant guitars are such a waste.
bagi kite je lar...

depends of craftmanship, if it triumphs high end guitars' craftmanship, then i wouldn't mind honestly

That is why I would consider getting a DIY kit instead of buying a fake guitar..
DIY kit for Stratocaster also can get for less than RM400..but I would go for the wood only though
After that I can make an awesome partscaster that can defeat a standard MIA strat.. biggrin.gif

i know someone who does live sessions for taiwan artists etc...one day he bought a SX strat, changed out every single thing on it from pickups / bridge / electronics to match a US strat...
in the end he sold it off and bought a real US strat...cos the SX still didnt sound right...
so moral of the story is...get good wood tongue.gif
