My fren who is an Insurance Agent non-stop asking me to buy insurance. Every 2 days sure call me...

OK, so I buy from him a small amount about 2 yrs ago. Sum assured about RM25K.

Then last week, he called me again to top-up premium la, said I need further protection la when I am older, I need retirement plan, future children education protection, investment-link savings plan la..la..la..

But I think when I die one day, just die la.. What for I need so much money after I am dead...?? I am not even married and no children now. If wan buy, oso wait until next time I have children la.

In the end, I show him the "middle-finger" and ask him to bug-off. No more frens...

Did you really show him the middle finger? My dad's friend also did this to him.

Of course my dad tak siok, he raised his voice when talking to him.

Sometimes I do pity them la, they need to sell this to survive, end up takde kawan. Sigh, the world is cruel huh.

Want to be even more harsh? Cancel the policy. Or inform the insurance company you want to change agents.

He need komisyen to buy bigger car, easier to sell to friend than cold call strangers.

i once bothered by insurance agents (unfortunately is my friend somemore) told x1000000times i already have a policy in hand, how mnay policy i need? even i need i tell my agents to review etc.. anyway.. this thing ends very ugly... very

they're only slightly better than mlm-tards, at least they're selling something potentially useful. they still makes sales based on people's fear tho, health and tragedy. very unethical business.

i took the insurance agent exam before.

passed the exam.

never bothered to go and pick up my certificate.

i prefer to sell condoms.

much easier.

i don't mind taking insurance but most of the agents like to scare people and using examples if mishap happens. It's like they are treating Insurance = GOD.

If you don't want to buy insurance, there are some rules to follows :

a. Don't get fat, hence you will not get fat-related illness

b. Drive carefully so you minimise the risk of getting an auto accident.

c. Take care of yourself better.

See, ancient primates didn't take insurance but managed to live happily ever after, lols.

Condoms is a kind of insurance too.

IMO, there are only 2 types of people who hated insurance.

1. Insurance agent who do not properly assess the need/requirement of the client nor properly explain the detail of the insurance. All they know is "buy lah", "buy lah" etc. They are like pest to be squashed. Everybody hated them.

2. Client who are ignorant of what is the purpose of insurance. They should try to educate themselves because they themselves will be the victim when bad things happen. In other word, it is for their own good that they learn/understand and buy insurance.

Now that I understand about insurance and when I decided to buy additional life insurance, I actually picked up the phone and called several insurance company asking them to send me their agent. That is the only way for me to understand and compare which is more suitable for me. You should do the same if you value your life and family. Anyone who have a family and say "no need" is a fool or already super rich.
