I think the most important part for ebank is security......The most appealing for maybank2u is TAC . It provide more security, i dont think other banks provide, sorry if it is. I only use maybank2u. If the bank does not provide security such as TAC ..i can easily put a trojan at my fren comp or any public comp to extract passpword for ebanking and mail back to me.... without TAC i easily can steal others money...dont u think so?

For BCB, if your want to do a fund transfer you need to key in the answer for the secret question.

For PB and Maybank, there's a transaction limit for fund transfer. BCB doesn't have. Another plus point for Maybank will be a transaction limit for bills payment.

All these TAC and set transaction limit are considered as security matter. Provides another layer of security.

I only use my PC at work and at home to access e-banking. So, I doubt you can hack my passwords. Therefore, no security problems even without TAC.

I am a public bank account user. Just screened through the website, didn't mention what to bring along if want to apply e-banking.

It just shows that I need to do it in the bank itself(quite troublesome, thought that application can be done with internet)...

I left my bank book(the small book, not sure what it call) in my hometown, so could I just ask my parents to do it for me(apply for e-banking), or my present and signature is required?

It depends on the encryption algorithm they implemented and the strength (keyspace) of the password (authenticiation method based on something you know).

For PB, you need to apply at the PB branch.

For Maybank and BCB, you can or need to do it on your own at the ATM machine to get the first time login PIN.

Today I went to UOB branch. Impressively they are implementing ATM and Visa Electron in a single card and no passbook usage.

^That's very common. Most people have that account as their first or starting account.

i can if there is some holes in IE ...let say holes that i can install undetectable keylogger in ur comp after u visit certain site ..thats is so possible..the keylogger can mail me ur password

i can if i know ur server admin at ur work ..i can change the DNS server at ur work to point to fake maybank ..then i can harvest ur password

i can if ...there are few ways to get the password and without extra layer of security like TAC i can tell u somebody can get ur money smile.gif
