Does anyone has any opinion if a Hybrid Mall like AURORA PLACE is going to be a success in Bukit Jalil ? taking an example of IOI Boulevard and Setiawalk with the similar concept.....

Does Ho Hup has any experience in managing a mall ?

Especially after 'Pavillion 2' has completed, all the concentration will be on the bigger mall, unless AURORA has some special attraction.

Aurora place will be completed by Nov 2016 but i bet Pavillion 2 may only commence construction in 2016. So there is a gap of 3 years apart.. so good or not i also don't know woh..  rclxub.gif

Yep I do agreed with you. The doubt came about when I was at IOI Boulevard which is having a very similar design concept and size, but there is hardly any cloud when I walk into the mall and lots of empty units....

It could be a compliment to Aurora in term of getting the cloud into the area when there is a 'Pavillion 2' around, or it could also be an negative impact in term of having a choice of a much bigger mall next door for shopping, i think it purely depends on the concept of Aurora is going to have (or it depends of its Feng Shui). But having said that, I don't think HoHup is the one who control the concept/tenancy since most of the units are individually owned except for lower ground floor.

......btw, the more successful Hybrid Mall that i have seen is Sunway Giza.

I agreed, expert in retail is a must to run a mall, otherwise will end up like many other failure example. Aurora Place and Pav 2 shouldn't fail with its kind of strategic location.

Just Being told that Aurora Sovo is fully sold out, and there will be another two blocks of building on top of Aurora Place, one block will be Wisma Ho Hup and there other block is wisma MBM (an automotive company). Ho Hup will be launching a service apartment across the road from aurora sovo, the service apartment buildings are designed to be 50 stories height !!!

The bank appear in this brochure is not real, as i can be sure that CIMB is in very bad term with Ho Hup.

I wonder how can bank confirm on their tenancy way before the completion of the project.... hmm.gif strange....

I still can remember when berjaya launched The Link many years ago, all the SA kept saying many banks has confirmed their tenancy, but not even one bank has moved in years after completion, until recently only HL has a small setup there....

malton one is only by invitaton... and the row fronting p2 reversed for its big boss only. The rest are allocated to vvvvip. all purchasers must be scrutinised and approved by the management... really lcly... got some agents curi out and sell but with big UT lo...

But the aurora place is not really a shoplot, it is consider as retail lot or hybrid mall, owner will suffer if hohup does not manage it well

The relatively cheap price of Aurora place is bcoz they are not a conventional shop.

ya, i think they should do ok having the location next to PV2.
