Sorry ah, but how can I tell if my X6 is old bios or new bios? I scared flash to 4.09 then cannot use, as you have stated before. Now it is on 4.01. Can email me the custom firmware? Thanks man.

if u flash 4.09 canot boot then is old bios.
custom firmwre only can flash at my side using Cable.
if u bought from me. then send the player to my place with fotostate receipt and we will send to u after we flash.

I am interested to buy either x5 or M6. I got some question:

1. If I using M6 with a hardisk and connected with LAN cable. Can I copy files from my computer to M6 thru network and play?

2. Different between M6 and X5 (file playing not others function). Is there any file that M6 can play but not X5?

1. can use eaget to view ur network pc movies and play without copy.
2. M6- realtek 1073D, X5- BOX F10. X5 when play movies over 20g abit lagging.

Yes I know that I can play the file from network pc.

The question is: Can I copy file to M6 from my network pc thru LAN? So that I don’t have to keep my pc on and play from the hardisk in M6.

Must using Mic XP;
START->RUN->//(YOUR PLAYER IP ADDRESS)->OK
Your can see hard disk contents,just copy paste.

Check and found the files no completed with xxxxxxxx.mp4.tr~,rename to xxxxxxx.mp4 and the movie can be watch.

Hi Zhen Wei, if I flash my X6 to 4.09 and it cannot boot, can I recover it back to 4.01 myself or have to bring down to you to recover it also?

only can recover from my office. we use serial cable to recover it. maybe i can flash the custom firmware for u also.

got my unit from my colleague there in Beijing, solid but having some problem now like can not download the movies directly from net...
and sometime experience rebooting by itself...

it is new. not available in malaysia yet. (becoz we not yet get in)

im currently facing a FEW problems with the eaget m8. but lets look at the first problem and then the others
problem no.1
when i get into youku search option, i type out the movies i want to stream,(english, chinese, tamil) movies.
once i open the movie by clicking on it, it streams very well, but this is only for a little while. the movies are full dvd rip movies, it streams for 1-2 minutes then the tv goes blank and the m8 will reboot.
even if the movies are full movies (1 hour 40 min) the eaget can only capture 07:04 minutes only. this goes for all the movies
* every full movie can only play 7 min 4 seconds only, it cant stream the full movie and the eaget reboots after a few min of streaming

pls help

do not expect the Eaget can run well which those 3rd party software (which non license online streaming). those are extra feature and added by the forumers in chinese forums. the main purpose is to watch full hd movies and recording for M8.

does the movie streaming work well on the m6, like u stated on your first page? will the m6 stream the whole movie?

M6 can use custom firmware - so called 3rd party firmware.
when u flash into 3rd party firmware .
1. some ur remote control button cannot use.
2. cannot make copy files with eaget.
3. lost BT function.

it supposed to be the advanced version of M880 and carry most of the features and functions from there and add on new to it...
how come those base features are still not that stable?

1. still failed to BT
2. download movie but can not check on the status and the management still replied "database not accessible"

overall still a good product, hope the new firmware released soon and get all the bugs fixed..

M880 II they using original firmware. no have improved firmware.refer here for users comment. feature is more than realtek 1073. but not stable i can say. we got the sample unit and waiting they released the firmware we will just selling in market. the price around RM390-450

dont expect these 3rd party can do BT in malaysia.but i heard from unifi users,they have no problem with BT with high speed use the eaget.

in the rss news on the m8, there is an option to ADD URL- "CLICK TO ADD RSS URL". how do i use this function to add a news feed like themalaysianinsider.com/rss-feeds
when i create the web link by keying in the web add and clicking on it. it states
unable to service request.
