well i did a few logs and found that both hardware devices are running with no problem i.e GPU speed and CPU speed are constantly running at max and there is no slow down.
Iam just wondering how all of you are playing games? is everything running smoothly? mind letting me know what games you are all playing? |

CPUOpen SetFSB, choose the PLL shown in 1st post, then push GetFSB, see got error message or not, if none, see whether it reporting the correct FSB or not, if its correct then just slide the slider to the right and SetFSB to overclock it... GPU Download MSI AfterBurner 1.6.1, then install it, go to its folder then open MSIAfterburner.cfg, change EnableUnofficialOverclocking = 0 to 1 Then try up the Core Clock by 25MHz and use Furmark to stress the GPU for couple minutes, check for artifacts, then repeat until you get artifact or hang, then you reach your limit, Then set to default again the Core Clock and repeat the same for Memory Clock, increase 2MHz each until reach the limit, After both done, set both Core Clock and Memory Clock to the limit and stress the GPU again to check for artifact, if got, then reduce either one of it till you reach no more artifacts.. As for last test, try play games, see the overclocking is stable or not... Disclaimer: Use this at your own risk This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Sep 19 2010, 03:43 PM |

QUOTE(clockworked @ Sep 19 2010, 03:46 PM) can you please explain what this means? my temps are within range even on full load im hitting max 74C. Well I'm not 100% sure, but I have a feeling that once it reaches a certain temperate of stress load (way below it's intended limit) the GPU throttles itself down.Have you monitored GPU activity with MSI Afterburner? Hopefully this can help you see whats happening. GPU clock and temps look ok thus far. Do let me know your thoughts, anyone else please chime in. Thanks. Hi guys, juz got my A42JV last week. I followed the guide on the optimus tutorial and then tried playing DotA.
The frame per second was only around 18+. My friend's studio 15 with 4570 ati gets around 40+. Any idea why? |

Ok, this is so weird. I set the preferred graphic processor to "integrated graphics", its better than the 335M. ==

but the thing is your heat isn't high. It looks more like a software issue... (but driver is up to date.... hm...) trying to cool it down although the heat isn't that high.

So maybe yourA42jv is defective? Other A42JV user also able to get high frame rate. |
