Dell 27" lcd monitor not bad as i have seen it as hook with ps3 thumbup.gif
Why so hard to decide P50U,P50X and 47ZV ? Ask the shop fellow to put side by side, set all setting(color, brightness and etc) at neutral to compare all these 3 units,fr here u can see and decide which one u might select.Hope this will help u. icon_rolleyes.gif U may request them to put BD or those HDD playback 1080P.

Yap! Everything bigger and you can see more details. rclxms.gif Previously very nice movie/photo in small screen will become ugly in 50" TV if your movie/photo is not in HD whistling.gif

won't the static windows menu bars cause IR?

There is one setting in Windows that can hide the menu bar. Why worry? whistling.gif

The actual problem with plasmas with games and astro is the static images and not the games or astro programs itself. If you play games, be careful of those permanent images like Health Bars or HUDs. For astro its those channel logos.

Burn-ins will always be the issue for plasmas, though its much improved lately. Just be careful during the 'early hours' of the TV and avoid static images.

Image Retention should be differentiated from burn-ins.

I have been watching Astro, blu-rays, DVDs, downloaded movies/TV shows from PC, playing Xbox & surfing the Net for hours a day since December 2009 on my Plasma 42S10K & happy to report no issues whatsoever. I am 110% happy & satisfied with my Plasma TV.
