I went to check the plasma TV just now. According to the sales person, the new plasma technology have reduced the burn mark issue.
How far is this true?
According to him, he received no complaint from customers buying the new plasma TV (those on sale from earlier this year) If the burn mark issue pop up, it is due to the long hours of static screen (picture paused) for 1 or 2 hours continuously. And according to him too that this burn mark can be fixed.
So ladies and gentlemen, have you experienced any burn mark on your plasma? Are you satisfied with your plasma?
And since I have post this topic, maybe I can ask your opinion between these plasma TV:
Samsung 42C450 (price: RM1999) Panasonic THP42A20K (price RM2100)
Which of these is better to watch DVD / Blu-ray movies + PS3 game?
~Thanks

Go with the Panasonic Plasma. You won't go wrong and no regrets. I have the Panny THP50S10K and for the price I paid for a 55" Samsung Series 7 LCD, it's really a bang for my buck and also the quality is excellent watching Blu-Ray movies, PS3 and also Xbox360. Hope my 2 cents helps. Cheers.

panasonic may bring back kuro plasma tenology in viera plasma HDTV, after all panasonic is the owner of kuro patents right now QUOTE Pioneer states:
"The Company resolved to transfer its patents for plasma display panels and modules to Panasonic Corporation at the Board of Directors’ meeting held on April 28, 2009. The two companies had executed the agreement on May 15, 2009. This constitutes part of the business restructuring effort in accordance with plans for a full withdrawal from the display business."

I think it is smooth leh! Added on August 23, 2010, 11:17 amAll the blu-ray movies (i.e., either original BD discs or converted to BD.ISO and played at HDX-BD1) I watched so far, all in 24p playback except some extra are not in 24p.
