We're being written off as cups contender after we failed to land a new GK, be it own fans or rivals. LOL.
This shows the seriousness of the problem. Not to say that we're a one man team, but the bloopers of a single player, a GK, can determine the success or failure of our season. Plus, the problem is considered very serious by everybody else except Arsenal Football Club.

oh well, if we really lose this season based on gk blunders
then its going to be a big lesson for Wenger, i hope it dont turn out that way
but as it stands we are still doing alright, so lets hope for the best! and hope our good streak continues

Yea their mistakes cost us points last season...so what are the odds for them to repeat those mistakes and us losing more points?

so?..

with the current squad.. i dont think people down here request for Zlatan(some more his performance at Barca like tat, very proud meh?) or Robinho... cos we have what we need up front...
midfield, honestly if VDV want to join us.. it will be same place he will end up with.. (the bench)... we are just too crowded there..

defender issue solved.. u might be kidding if Wenger buy some more defender.. (when he spend 5mil on a 30yrs old, he is serious.. if you havent noticed that)..

only part we missing is keeper.. u got the right keeper to sign?(provided that people wan to sell)...

Spud buy a 3rd choice keeper like over the moon.. walau.. this keeper is back up for Gomeh and kulicini.. wat so big deal?

We are really look strong... all recent purchases are proven to be a good one (look at 2 new signing this season).. dun buy u said din buy, we bought 3 liao this month, still complaint... not for the sake of buying.. must spend oso spend wisely..

BTW, where is sandro? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I think Almunia is decent. He should improved. Don't think last two goals which we concede got anything to do with Almunia, hence it was defensive mistake.

I was hoping we've gotten a defensive midfielder, a cover for Song. Someone who plays deep down, jz infront of the two CBs. Same style as Song.

Btw, Looks like RVP is out again. I'm routing for Chamakh, no disrespect to Liverpool fans, i look at him having similar style of Torres, at least better than Bendtner. It might be Vela's time to shine.

Bro Tenno, I understand your point. Don't get me wrong. Indeed I am kinda disappointed like everyone else without the arrival of new GK but look at the bright side, with the landing of Squillaci and Koscielny might strengthen our back. Even world best GK can't save our sorry ass with sh|tty back 4. Just like Sagna crosses suddenly improved with the arrival of Chamakh biggrin.gif

Since the transfer window already closed, there ain't much we can do except support everyone behind the team including Almunia, hoping him to do better this season. Just give him another chance to prove himself again.

yeap, unfortunately we have to count on that, hopefully they will protect our GK
like one of you guys said before, we often concede from set pieces, if those set pieces were to be defended better this time around
then its good for Almunia and the club!

Ibra - Failed at "the best team in the world". We already have Chamakh who looks more than capable of playing the lone striker role.

Robinho - Failed at "the richest team in the world". I think his attitude is worse than Ade-poyo.

Pletikosa - I've never watched him play, but is this any different from us signing our "unknowns" like Koscielny and Squilaci?

Van der Vaart - There's a reason why he's on the bench at Real, and there's a reason why he's on the bench for Holland when Robben is fit. He's just a slightly above average player. Not anything better than what we have in Rosicky, Nasri, Wilshere, Ramsey and this other fellow we have called Fabregas.

I personally think that VDV is a good player, but with "Rosicky, Nasri, Wilshere, Ramsey and this other fellow we have called Fabregas" why the hell do even need to spend money on him? T'ham can buy him for all I care...

We've got 1)Chamakh who proved his worth in Bordeaux and now links well with our team 2)Kos who was one of the best defenders in Ligue 1 and seems comfortable beside Vermy 3)Laci who is the "experienced veteran" that people have been crying out for. Pretty decent transfer window if you ask me.

I'm not too fussed about not getting a keeper since Schwarzer seems to be the only one we're truly linked with and he ain't any better than Al. No need to be exhorted by Fulham... Sort out our team defence and Al will be much better protected and make less mistakes.

Exactly. The "AW out" brigade is really up and at 'em this transfer window.

Man Utd haven't exactly addressed their problems as well with their lack of a proper holding midfielder. Hargreaves is still crocked till World Cup 2018, Carrick is out of favour and Anderson I cannot see him staying any longer than the next window. Rumours say they wanted Rodwell, but as we have proven this year, the selling club still has power to decide over transfers. Everton didn't want to sell, and due to circumstances, Fulham also doesn't want to let go of Schwarzer.

Its a different market this year, compared to the past. Yes, I'm disappointed that we didnt sign a keeper, but overall, the signing of these three players more than makes up for it. But in all honesty, I can't help but have a feeling at the back of my head that there's one final piece in the jigsaw...

... But that's just me. I'm a pessimist blush.gif

ibra did not failed during his time at barca. he scored 16 goals in 29 apps and win medal. The only problem is his agent, and pep. i quite fancy if ibra join arsenal, no one can predict what is the outcome. smile.gif)...but in wenger we trust smile.gif))
