It's refurbished model. I dont think it's worth it unless you know how to fix your laptop and where to get parts.

clearly SB is worth the wait. Still i need HD6xxxM GPU!!! Do not want GTX 460m and the physx gimmick. laugh.gif

Well, im happy with mine, as long as it runs well and doesnt overheat when i play games.

Hey, at least i have the SB version standard 1TB hybrid HDD and blu ray drive. Just the stuff inside is a bit slower.

Happy new year, my fellow G-Series owners. Wishing 2011 will be an even better year for you. At the same time, GAME ON, and our G73/G53 works flawlessly.

My G73 is idling at 61.5C. I think repasting is needed in a few months from now.

If you do it carefully(follow the guide) and with all the nescessary tools, then its not hard.
hardest part is to flip the motherboard as u might need someone to help u hold the motherboard while flipping it.
*
Hmmm, dont know should i do this or not. hmm.gif

the default thermal compound dun seem to be handling the heat so well...

i ve done so even on my N81Vp... tongue.gif
*
Your N81Yp is probably easier to do.

G73 is quite hard, and G53 is even worse.

haha seems like my problem is quite minor.
Anyways, i called asus they offered a pick up service to kl.... but leaving the country soon, don't want to take any chances... so i'm probably gonna fix it in aussie...

I don't mind helping to tear apart yours to fix the card. It's not hard.
