Hi guys, I'm thinking get one unit Plasma and want using it for mainly gaming like PS3, Astro Beyond and bla2... Currently in my mind want to get TH-P50U20K at RM36xx. In same time also got basic HD Ready 42" TH-P42X28K at RM1999. This tv maybe i'm using at least 10 years because previous crt Panasonic also near 8 years and still good just i'm hand itchy to get plasma. Getting Started

|
For 42 inch there is not much difference between 1080p and 720p . I'm using a LG plasma pj350r and satisfaktion so far. http://reviews.cnet.com/720p-vs-1080p-hdtv..._content;rb_mtxPlasma generally have better colour than LCD too unless you buy more expensive models, if you have friends using LCD try to test it in a dark room and the black area is grayish. However Plasma do tend to use more electricity than LCD.

I am happy with HD Ready so far. To me, PQ is more important that Full HD resolution. If can get both, lagi chun.

Since u plan to hang on to your TVs for long term, go for the FHD one, esp for that price. Unless you got a thing for 3DTVs... BTW, 50" Pana @ RM36XX? Where? With NeoPDP panel?

has the question been answered? unless there is a strict financial constraint, it's not worth buying a HD-Ready TV nowadays

Better get 3D HDTV. You don't need to change for a couple years later.

For 42" and above, Full HD would be your best bet, even more so if you're using it for the next 10 years. Getting 1 soon too.
