*If Newbie is not recommended buying this new expansion.. This latest Expansion areas are for those lvl 56++ above. unless if u want try to lvl main as Blue mage, Puppet master and Cosair.

Yes.. once you have reach around level 60-65, you'll want to do Rise of Zilart mission so that you can access an area called "Sky." If you continue to finish all the RoZ mission after that, you'll get an uber earring.

As for Chains of Promathia, it's optional for you to do it, but you need to at least complete the 3 main Promyvions(you'll know what I'm talking about when you play) when you reach level 30ish with subjob. After that, it's totally up to you... if you get it done to Chapter 7, you'll get to access an area called "Sea" but that's not useful until you're level 75. If you finish CoP, you'll get a ring that's really awesome.

As for Treasure of Aht Uhgan, the storyline is still in progess.

What's important is, you at least have Sky access. Because most end game stuffs is there.. although people are moving to Sea more and more these days. At least on my server Quezty.

is it ok to use streamyx to play the game? wont it be too much laggin?.

I really want to play this game but after hearing that they delete your account after unsubscribing for three months REALLY sucks! Imagine all your time spent on your character and then *poof*

The server is in Japan.. it's so smooth that I can tell you that you are faster than most of the Americans playing this.

Question. Apart from buying the DVD... is there a monthly payment? and if so.. how much?
(I tried looking at the main site... but no info on that)

Yeah there's a monthly fee of US13 a month and 1 dollar more if you make extra characters for "mules" (places where you keep extra stuffs because you have a full inventory).

This game is GREAT if you got lots of time to spend and if you're patient... I can't stress how awesome this game is. It beats the hell out of WoW if you're patient enough... Also, this game is for the mature people. If you disliked WoW because you see too many kids or people who curse every 5 seconds, this is the game for you. lol

By the way.. FFXI end-game > WoW's endgame.

you need to get :-
Main FFXI + Raise of Zilart (1sr expansion) + Chain of Promathia (2nd expansion).

Optional you can get latest expansion : Treasure of Aht Urhgan.

RM129 is consider very cheap for (1). i got it at London, after converted is around RM250.

FFXI is a nice game. i like the mission stories line.

Actually you still need to register using credit card. Only the 1st month they don't charge you. (if you not going to confirm to continue the game at next month when they send you email to ask for confirmation.)
