Even if u had manage to unroot it before send for repair, i dont think it is under warranty as tear and wear is not covered.
*
yes, but unit will still under warranty..
instead if something wrong in future, they still cover it...
once warranty void, that's mean they dont provide any free services anymore...
they will remove the warranty from their system...

there is a tutorial on that on how to flash the RUU back without seeing anything via the fastboot at xda.. Its on the thread that the SLCD desire dudes screen went black out when they unrooted using the AMOLED method i guess. The tutorial tells the button combination and steps without having to see anything on the screen. Have they noticed u have rooted? Or u still havent handed in your device..
*
Is it? Dint know about it that time.... cry.gif cry.gif
just rushing to send it for fix cause many important thing in the phone...

You can challenge that policy in Consumer Tribunal as it is unfair.
Rooting will not break the hardware.

It is your rights to challenge any unfair policies.
*
It is the same all over the world...
if you wanna challenge, you might need to bring it up to international court...
It is the same for all cell phone~`

Hi guys,

I have searched almost everywhere for a standalone installer for HTC_CIME for our Desire but only managed to find some buggy installers or one made for Hero.

Extracted CNSoftKeyboard.apk from original Froyo but did not work in custom ROMs.

Any rooted users who can help me find a working HTC_CIME?
*
CIME = chinese IME?
If you use the international IME keyboard then they have chinese input inside....

what keyboard you want to use?  I have AuraxTSense 7.6.1 installed, it has all the chinese input - handwriting, pinyin, five stroke, number of strokes, etc.  smile.gif   Normally i use pinyin but the handwriting is very cool too.   icon_idea.gif
*
I have the international keyboard, but not sure how to use handwritting or it is not included.... hmm.gif hmm.gif
but i see handwriting in the touch input setting~~

*checked, handwritting is not included in touch input international keyboard

handwriting is not included & i can only find a working one for Hero which is incompatible with Desire.
If only I have the handwriting option, I will keep the Cynogen ROM. It's the fastest of all, in my opinion.
*
Check few forums, no proper handwriting for desire yet...
most of them having fc or disable multitouch problem....

*I tried this, quite nice and not buggy....
most important is, it is in apk file. No need to flash and can uninstall anytime...

I use version 1.8.4 and it is not up to my expectation.

With the SD share enabled, i still cant access my SD card unless I unplug the USB cable. You r using the latest version and it works?
*
No, i'm using same version v1.8.4. There is a note there by the developer, do not use auto mount.... biggrin.gif
which mean, once you plug in the usb you have popup windows, choose charge only (it wont work if you choose disk drive)...
then tap once on the widget and you will find that it is mount to your computer already, tap again to dismount from computer~~ thumbup.gif thumbup.gif
you can reinstall the same version and try again~~ smile.gif
