@CKHong,

better you just partition it before flashing radio and ROM
no need to see the system space going from 65 to 135.
Straight all goes to ext partition and getting 135 at 1st boot!

ooo.. thanks... will do partition b4 flashing radio and ROM
wah.. now preparing to root ~~~ ahhh.. amitaba ~~ hopefully all went nice..
set up the rooting stuff in laptop ~ scare do it on my desktop then suddenly no electric come tongue.gif

The problem with this build:

RUU_Bravo_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.19.707.7_Radio_32.36.00.2 8U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126179_signed.exe

is that it requires hboot v0.75, will not work on hboot 0.80 (I remember reading this on xda). So, if we want to claim warranty, can just flash to generic WWE latest version which I read somewhere can flash on hboot 0.80 ??

I guess nobody here has unrooted and downgraded for warranty purposes so we wont know....

i have unrooted my phone twice. first when i rooted using old method, second when i rooted with unrevoked. now i hv rooted my phone again using old method. everything worked well. so dont worry.

Hello again,

Been reading some more on rooting and flashing ROM. Thank you so much to all the sifus for advice and help. Think I am almost ready. So far downloaded all the necessary files:

1. HTC Sync - to install then uninstall leaving driver
2. Unrevoked 3.1 with recovery clockwork 2.5.0.1 bravo slcd img
3. Paragon Partition Manager free edition - to format SDcard to FAT32 and Ext3
4. Install Titanium back up (via market) to back up
5. Not sure want to install ROM Manager or not, worry it will override the clockwork and my SLCD get black screen.
6.Flash new ROM, probably going for NextSense 5.3 as intrigued by the longer battery life people reporting.

Question,
Have anybody reflash back to stock Maxis ROM for warranty purpose ?
My current ROM is
Firmware 2.1-update1
Baseband version 32.41.00.32U_4.08.00.09
Kernel Version 2.6.29-b7e82785 htc-kernel@and18-2#1
Build number 1.19.707.7 CL171460 release-keys
Software number 1.19.707.7

HBOOT 0.83.0001
Radio 4.08.00.09

Should I use this to reflash back official RUU for warranty ?
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Bravo/RUU_...6179_signed.exe

Thanks.

welcome to the dark side!! rclxms.gif

dont worry, you will be fine. the percentage to brick ur phone is small, it can be fixed anyway.
