Just go to settings->applications and you can move your apps to SD if you want to (not all apps are supported)

I had no problem connecting to my Lenovo laptop... maybe some wifi settings on your laptop?

I thought 135MB is normal for a fresh system. You won't get the full MB that you chose to partition. Especially when it's more than 512MB

Get an app called "SD Move", it will list down all the apps that support Froyo A2SD and you can move them based on the list.

Yeah weird...it's one day slower in the contact. But somehow in the Agenda / Calendar the birthday shown from facebook is accurate

Do you have SD-EXT partition?

Lots of issues caused by the users not creating EXT partition. But yours seems to be fine (I'm on that 512MB, 0 setting but don't think it makes a difference)

Also, try not to choose full system restore in Titanium, restore only the green system items.... I don't know why it happens to you seriously, I'm not having that issue

After rooting you can install custom ROM with a2sd+ supported. You can create like say 512MB of ext3 partition, and all your apps will automatically be installed there. It's not dependent on the apps that support a2sd or not

You need to have at least 30MB free internally memory to be able to upgrade to Froyo via OTA

Yeah, that's exactly the one. But does it make the transparent notification bar gone? (not that I really like it lol) And is there any other UI annoyance after you flashed it?

Tested the framework C file, it works - no more transparent bar though... but the transparent bar wasn't pretty anyway so in a way it's better for me.

I think it's gone in 2.2, I don't see mine too. What is the setting under privacy though? What kind of backup option? I totally forgot about 2.1

I use Titanium Backup (for root only) to backup my stuffs

Even the file is AVI it has different kind of codec (xvid, divx etc), but yeah, try RockPlayer, you should be able to play it

I suggest:

1. Batch restore user apps + data
2. Go to backup / restore, filter by "System", the manually restore 1 by 1 the green item only

1. Restore missing apps with data ---> this one

Green stuffs should be safe, at least for me. Some widget works (HTC ones), custom widgets don't work. Yes, wipe all if you're upgrading from 5.0 to 7.1 (big changes)
