Best way to enjoy fully the 3%+5% rebate is by paying RM2000 per month in utilities, if you are cash rich ;-)
For Oct, Nov Dec 2010 5% of RM2000 x 3 months = RM300 (rebate cap until end of 2010) 3% of RM2000 x 3 months = RM180
Thus, you pay RM6000 and get back RM480 of free utilities ;-)

QUOTE(ck3lam @ Oct 6 2010, 05:24 PM) Are you sure you will get RM480 for 3 months? From what I know, maximum cap per month is still RM100, which will be RM300 for 3 months. Assuming you use it for utility bill payment, you will only need to spend RM1250 instead of RM2000 to get RM100 rebate. RM1250 x 8% = RM100. That means you pay RM3750 instead of RM6000 to get RM300 rebate. Your calculation is wrong... you need to calculate separately for 3% and 5% rebates... 3% rebate has a capping of RM200 for the whole promotion period (29 Sep 2010 to 31 Dec 2010) 5% rebate has a capping of RM100 each month until 31 Dec 2010

Maxis & Astro is not part of the OCBC Payee listing at the moment.
To maximise the 3% + 5%, you need to spend RM2000 a month for Utility bills via Online. If you go above the RM2k threshold, you won;t get full 8% but only 3%, as the 5% monthly cap would have reached at RM2k (RM2000 x 5% = RM100)

The CVV number I usually put a white sticker to ensure the Cashiers don't memorise it later as some Merchant transaction have full credit card number and expiry date.
Why can't all Merchant Transaction slip printed blank out the numbers of the CC used ?

Me being hopeful ;-)

OCBC's 3% Cash Rebate Online bill payment will appear after the 31 Dec 2010... most probably in Jan/Feb 2011's statement

stacko: It's less than your calculation because OCBC uses the nearest ringgit to calculate the rebate. I think you won't get >RM20 because they calculate based on statement period not calendar month (OCBC is smart ;-) ) If TMOnline gets 1% cash back, then it's better to do auto-debit, then.

QUOTE(chemistry @ Oct 12 2010, 10:24 PM) Payment through TMONLINE is entitled to 5% rebate, I must say. Evidence attached. [attachmentid=1830373] This also shows exactly how OCBC Titanium's rebate is calculated... Time to re-adjust my Excel file. p.s. You can use =ROUNDDOWN(<cell>,0)*0.05 or =ROUNDDOWN(<cell>,0)*0.01 in Excel . This post has been edited by ronnie: Oct 12 2010, 11:42 PM

QUOTE(stacko @ Oct 12 2010, 11:51 PM) Thanks for the confirmation, as I am now able to detect where Titanium failed to give 5% rebates - it was the Shell petrol station at NKVE just before the Damansara toll interchange and not TMOnline. Discounting the RM73.73 petrol from Shell NKVE, I have managed to arrive at RM60.05 5% rebates from the total of RM1201 spent rounded up. Strange on why you didn't get 5% for Shell... was it a purchase in Shell stores ?

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Oct 13 2010, 12:19 AM) Hi all, I swiped around 3.3k last month, but from my latest statement, I get 5% rebate = RM31, while 1% rebate = RM20. I'm sure one of my transaction at 2.5k is 1% only, but I only get RM20 only? Need to call CS and clarify the details? OCBC's 1% Cash Rebate is capped at RM20 (from Sep to Dec 2010)
